Pandering to the regressive mob, Mayor Bill de Blasio refused to give a straightforward answer on how New York City should treat monuments to President and General Ulysses S. Grant, which include a statue of Grant on horseback in Crown Heights, Brooklyn (standing since 1896), and Grants Tomb in Riverside Park, Manhattan (housing Grants body since 1897). De Blasios dithering comes in the wake of his declaring a 90-day review of hate symbols in New York City for ultimate removal. While he was a hero and was integral to the Unions survival and victory in the U.S. Civil War, Grant ordered Jews to be expelled from three southern states during the Civil War.
If New York removes these hate symbols towards Jews, the world should follow in a logically consistent way. Perhaps through the stewardship of the infinitely wise United Nations, the world should remove the following from the face of the Earth:
- All remaining ancient Egyptian ruins and artifacts, including the Egyptian pyramids and the Sphinx. These are creations of the ancient Egyptians, who enslaved the Jews. Hence, they are “hate symbols” towards Jews.
- All remaining Canaanite ruins and artifacts, as the Canaanites waged countless wars against the Jews. Israeli excavations of Canaanite ruins should be halted and their findings destroyed. Fortunately, the Islamic State has already destroyed the Temple of Baalshamin (dedicated to the Canaanite god Ba’al) in Palmyra, Syria.

What do they have on Grant? Smoking, drinking, and owning a grocery store?
It took them long enough. I expected the political corrects to attack union leaders long before this.
Who is buried in Grants tomb?
Why, nobody. Grant’s tomb is above the ground.
I bet the democrats and other leftist crazies would be all over this one if they knew about it!

Probably Robert E Lee. Or Hitler.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong about this analysis of today’s Left:
They are completely unhinged now because Trump is president. If Killery had won, there would be none of this violence against man and memorial.
The derangement is due to the Left’s previous belief that they had the hard-working, tax-paying American vanquished under Dear Leader Obama.
The Left’s slaves, the American people, have risen up to throw of their chains of oppression by electing Trump, and now our overseers have stepped in to put us back into line.
Therefore, the pulling down of statues is not so much a hatred against symbols as it is a warning to the slaves that their rebellion against their masters will not be tolerated, that their uprising will be violently put down.
Grant owned property which he was legally allowed to own.
That means he hates Black people.
MG Grant issued “General Order #11” in Dec. 17 1862, related to black marketeering that was going on and in which expelled all Jews from Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi:
“The Jews, as a class violating every regulation of trade established by the Treasury Department and also department orders, are hereby expelled from the department [the “Department of the Tennessee,” an administrative district of the Union Army of occupation composed of Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi] within twenty-four hours from the receipt of this order.”
Cesar Kaskel arrived in Washington on Jan. 3, 1863, two days after the Emancipation Proclamation went into effect. There he conferred with influential Jewish Republican Adolphus Solomons, then went with a Cincinnati congressman, John A. Gurley, directly to the White House. Lincoln received them promptly and studied Kaskel’s copies of General Order No. 11 and the specific order expelling Kaskel from Paducah. The President told Halleck to have Grant revoke General Order No. 11, which he did in the following message:
A paper purporting to be General Orders, No. 11, issued by you December 17, has been presented here. By its terms, it expells (sic) all Jews from your department. If such an order has been issued, it will be immediately revoked.
Grant revoked the order three days later.

Seems to be a reasonable assessment with only one exception... the rebellious “slaves” significantly outnumber the Left.
Bastard. Take down everything with Grant on it.
He owned slaves, too

I’d say Grant’s accomplishments, far, far outweigh his transgressions.
That goes double for Washington and Jefferson.
“What do they have on Grant? Smoking, drinking, and owning a grocery store?”
In addition to a grocery store, he owned slaves it is said.
If so, he was the last U.S. president to have at one time owned slaves.
Is that a picture of the Last Supper on the grave? How hypocritical
I guess I am behind in my reading. i thought Ohio was a free state.
