This is Orwell's 1984 happening in real life right now in America. This is a thousand times worse than Antifa and as bad as the deep state take over of our federal government. This is bad; real bad. Google should not have the power to dictate what can be said on any given site. YouTube and Vimeo are hiding behind policy rules to stop paying channel owners and deleting some videos they deem unworthy of their thought control standards.
This could turn into Tsunami of Big Brother type control practically overnight. We need the government to step in with regulations to stop this kind of behavior since these companies don't have a competitor to go to. They have a monopoly just like utility companies so they must be regulated and regulated fast. Top priority fast. Okay, just under storm Harvey, fast.

But the lady is supposed to bake the cake whether she likes the captions or not.
Funny how that rule doesn’t apply to big, bad Google.
Use DuckDuckGo or Startpage, and the Brave browser.
Screw the little rump ranger commies.

Google needs to be broken into a million pieces—they have passed crazy and gone to dangerous.

Google as a private entity can pay ad revenue to whomever they wish.
First Amendment rights do not extend to speech stored on a private server and getting paid for the privilege.
If Google is to be regulated, it should only extend to the level of "public accommodation." They can only delete content from a subscriber that puts Google in direct legal jeopardy (copyright violations, etc.) But they should retain the right to decide who they reward with payment and who they choose to withhold payment.
Demonetization is already happening to most of the YouTube channels I subscribe to, and the channels' responses have been to move to other hosting services such as Full30, and to become funded via Patreon.
There will be something seriously wrong with this country if the government all of the sudden has the power to dictate to a private company who they must pay money to.

Either Google, Youtube, et al are “common carriers” or they are responsible for every single thing that is posted to their websites/sent via their servers.
When they censor political ideas (not porn or copyright violation or other illegal activity) they are “arbiters” of ALL of the content.

"As stated in our program policies, Google ads may not be placed on pages that contain content that: Threatens or advocates harm on oneself or others; Harasses, intimidates or bullies an individual or group of individuals; Incites hatred against, promotes discrimination of, or disparages an individual or group on the basis of their race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity,
or other characteristic that is associated with systemic discrimination or marginalization"
What a queer litmus test. So liberalism (which is ALWAYS in a "struggle") is protected and the so-called "establishment" can be attacked at every turn.

” Google Issues Ultimatum to Conservative Website: Remove ‘Hateful’ Article or Lose Ad Revenue”
This is analogous to Walmart setting up roadblocks around a mom and pop store and not allowing delivery of goods.
To: Boomer
This is actually by light-years an improvement. Google is defining what it finds objectionable, not quite making it public, but making it very easy to take public. The previous tactic was simply to capriciously knock down conservative sites without any warning. With such transparency, Google will not long be able to sustain political bias.
YES, Google is a private entity and can censor as it sees fit. But it enters into business contracts and if it employs a bias in its enforcement of its terms of agreement, it rightfully opens itself up to lawsuits by those harmed.
