WASHINGTON -- Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin is raising speculation that Harriet Tubman's future on the $20 bill could be in jeopardy.
Mnuchin is avoiding a direct answer when asked whether he supports the decision made by the Obama administration to replace Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill with Harriet Tubman, the 19th century African-American abolitionist famous for the Underground Railroad.
During last year's campaign, Donald Trump praised Jackson, the nation's seventh president, for his "history of tremendous success" and said the decision to replace him with Tubman was "pure political correctness."

“Your list does not affect the veracity of my statement.”
It does if you are claiming the people listed, like Kennedy, were ‘founding fathers’ of the country.
I suggest they turn the personal image area on the 20 dollar bills to be a mirror-like holographic surface, and then everyone can stare at themselves on the 20 dollar bills. Look honey, I’m famous!!!!
No such claim was made.
She’s got a gun! That cancels out the PC.
Pam Grier is... Harriet Tubman. Can ya dig it ?
Harriet Tubman was a Republican, she was a strong believer in the Second Amendment, and she was a Christian. That is why they don’t want to put her on the $20 bill.
I propose the idea of putting Donald trump on a five dollar coin . mainly because I am sure it will be called a Trump for slang purposes. also the coin would be a permanent way to enrage the left after he leaves office.
as far as Harriet Tudman replacing President Andrew Johnson... elections have consequences.
About the cost of a cup of coffee.
Leave the twenty dollar bill as is. Changing it would cause too much confusion.
Her book was and is amazing. I don’t have a problem honoring her, but the $20 probably isn’t the place.
“They” being Donald Trump, whose favorite President is Andrew Jackson?
I sure hope she’s not; I’d hate to have to do all my commercial transactions only with 5s and 10s...
I sort of like the image with Tubman carrying a pistol.
Keep the $ 20 intact and create a new denomiation for Tubman - say the $ 25 bill.
Put her on the 2¢ pice.
Good. Now let’s get Robert E. Lee on the 20.
Guarantee the Left would flip out!
