Judge Roy Moore won’t support Mitch McConnell as Senate majority leader

Former Alabama state Chief Justice Roy Moore tells Conservative Review that should he successfully win his Senate race, he would vote against Senator Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., remaining Senate majority leader.

With a little over four weeks until Alabama’s GOP primary runoff, Moore holds a commanding lead over incumbent Senator Luther Strange, according to the latest poll. The McConnell-affiliated Senate Leadership Fund super PAC has dumped millions into keeping the unelected Strange in office.

In the initial GOP primary, Moore ended in first place, with nearly 39 percent of the vote. Strange was second, with around 33 percent of the votes – sending the two candidates into a Sept. 26 runoff since no candidate (in a field of 10) earned 50 percent of the vote. The most recent poll has Moore winning big (50.4 percent versus 32.2 percent).

Judge Moore has positioned himself as the anti-establishment conservative, echoing President Trump’s campaign promises to “drain the Swamp.” In a recent email to supporters, Moore called himself the “biggest threat to the establishment’s power in Washington.”

Mitch McConnell (who I once supported) has been at least a tremendous disappointment, failure....at best

or a UniParty Agent, take your pick

either way, we must help replace him with someone better, ASAP

This is the final nail in The Strange One’s coffin.
Moore is going to crush Strange, especially if runs
ads about his non support of McConnell.
Not only is McConnell poison in his own home state,
he is poison in Alabama too.

We have enough fake Republican Senators.

Alexander, Corker, Flake, Graham, Hatch, Heller, Hoeven, Murkowsky, McCain, Rubio, Gardner, Burr, Tillis, Portman, McConnell, Thune, Cornyn, Cochran, Isackson, Blunt, Johnson, Toomey, Capito, Rounds, Fischer, Collins, Wicker, Sasse, Ernst, Young, Boozman and Shelby are all undocumented Democrats in R jerseys.

About time to elect a conservative.

Good. None of the Republican Leadership reflects the base in any way at all.

You remember when a career politician would lick his finger and hold it in the wind to decide his position on any issue (Billy Jeff Clinton)? Filthy scum that lie, cheat, obfuscate and equivocate should look at a real man who knows his mind and isn't reluctant to speak it for an example of true leadership.

That reason alone would make me support him.

Ted Cruz? Don’t know why he would care as Pres Trump was the vocal backer of Luther Strange not Ted Cruz.

That should send Moore over the top. Of course Trump is on the wrong side of this battle.

The President is loyal. Strange has voted with Trump in his short time in the Senate. Strange has a lot more backbone than his predecessor Jeff Sessions. Trump most likely will endorse.

Moore should win, and both he and Trump will work great together. Mitch endorses Strange, Moore does not endorse Mitch. Game over.
