Steve Bannon Was Fired in February
The American Spectator ^ | 08/18/17 | Marcus Calpurnius Flamma

For all their faults, Democrats have always been far more astute at the long game. Sadly, Steve Bannon was effectively fired in February.

Bannon’s long road to exile began on December 29 last year, when Michael Flynn had an innocuous conversation with the Russian ambassador eavesdropped on and unmasked by Obama officials. After leaks to the Washington Post (probably from the recently fired Sally Yates or her cohort), Flynn resigned as National Security Advisor. Trump needed to fill the position quickly, with someone Democrats calling for Flynn’s scalp wouldn’t object to. He reached into the swamp, and pulled out Army general and Don Rickles doppelganger H.R. McMaster. Bannon was just beginning his work on the National Security Council (NSC) with Flynn, reorienting policy towards the President’s objectives, when McMaster replaced him. Conflict between Bannon and McMaster was inevitable — what few realized was how quickly the President took the side of Lieutenant General McMaster. Unfortunately for Bannon, and the country, he had left the Navy only as a lieutenant. Removing him from the NSC was one of McMaster’s first moves.

That’s the long game. Self-proclaimed members of the “Resistance” like Yates or her subordinates leak, their Democrat handlers in Congress call for resignations, a few cowardly Republicans join in, the media plays the useful idiot, and the President, who advocated for radical policy change, and whose party controls Congress, nevertheless takes his personnel orders from the mob, fires someone he agrees with, and must select a replacement that might as well have had the same position in the previous administration. That’s how Democrats have “their” man in the NSC, and how they used him to purge it of anyone who represents the new path the President promised the American people.

A real confluence of media events:

1. Fox getting more liberal
2. Rumors Bannon starting new conservative network
3. Joseph Paul Watson soon quitting YouTube
4. Milo starting some new media entity, $11million
5. Rumors TheRebel Media breaking up

I don’t know HOW these things add together, just that they do and could produce a new, interesting sum.

He’s only out because Trump wanted him out’ and as Trump said it was only a temporary engagement.

Ivanka is the reason that Trump decided not to “lock her up”, thus no need to fire Comey right away. Thank you, Ivanka!

You are taking word of the Daily Mail and its "Washington sources" without even a grain of salt.

They would like nothing more than to sow discord within Trump's base.

From your source:

A Daily Mail report cites sources giving Ivanka Trump credit for forcing Steve Bannon out of the White House. The article references “Washington sources” that Trump’s daughter Ivanka pushed out Bannon because of his “far-right views” clashing with her Jewish faith.

Nice try media-swamp complex!

No sir

Bannon does not look anything like that now

At best he is porcine and slovenly

His pudgy face might suggest too much booze

It's easy to be "astute at the long game" when you have the media covering your butt 24x7.

I would love to see him be able to smile like that again. Actually I would like to smile like that again after spending time reading the news.

That reminds me, prayers for the crew of the McCain.

Time is a wrecker for all of us but he really aged badly. He doesn’t look anything like his old self.
