Hezbollah condemns Barcelona attack

The Hezbollah terrorist group, which is backed by Iran, on Friday condemned the van attack in Barcelona that killed at least 13 people.

Thursday’s attack was claimed by the Islamic State (ISIS) group.

In a statement issued in Beirut and quoted by The Associated Press, Hezbollah said the attack must be a renewed incentive to eliminate ISIS "whose ideology is based on hate."

The statement said that "targeting innocent civilians and killing them is part of a satanic plot being carried out by those terrorists, which aims at tarnishing the concept of jihad (holy war) and sullying the image of Islam."

Hezbollah, a Shiite Muslim group, is fighting against ISIS, a Sunni organization, in both Lebanon and neighboring Syria, where it has sustained heavy losses.

While it condemns attacks in Europe, Hezbollah does not hesitate to target Israelis there. An attack in Burgas, Bulgaria, in 2012 was carried out by two members of Hezbollah.

The revelation of Hezbollah's involvement in the attack contributed to an EU-wide decision in July of 2013 to blacklist Hezbollah as a terror group. However, the EU chose to only blacklist Hezbollah’s “military wing”, leaving its political faction off the list.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has continued to threaten Israel even as his group has sustained heavy losses in Syria.

“Hezbollah” is Arabic for “False Flag.”

“These are the new “moderates”. “

I saw a cartoon. It was labeled “The Difference Between Jihadis and Moderate Muslims.” It was too Middle Eastern men side by side. The foaming, angry figure on the left was labeled “Jihadi.” His bubble read, “If you do not convert to Islam I will kill you!” The one on the right was labeled “Moderate.” He is pointing at the other guy and his bubble read, “If you do not convert to Islam, he will kill you.”

Hezbollah and Iran are using ISIS as an excuse to expand their own power and Obama and the leftards are falling for their trap: https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/two-men-arrested-terrorist-activities-behalf-hizballahs-islamic-jihad-organization

Hezbollah is infiltrating the United States every day with drug smuggling routes. They could easily use these for human trafficking like the cartels do, or better yet, partner with a drug cartel and do a major terrorist attack. Don’t even get started about what ISIS could do if they mimicked that kind of structure.

You are absolutely correct. This is a power struggle between 2 groups who hate the west and all westerners.

I will say this - at the moment, Shia Muslim terrorists seem to be slightly better than Sunni-Salafist-Saudi-supported Muslim terrorists.

There is a popular belief, especially in America, that all people, deep down, want democracy, individual liberty, toleration, peace, and equality under the law. While undoubtedly true of many, this modern ideal assumes that everyone is the same; that anyone who is educated in the ways of Western democratic, ideals will embrace them if given a chance, and that inequalities in the world are the product of bad governments, not bad people.

The reconstruction of Germany and Japan after WWII, and the successful adoption of democracy by those countries, appeared to validate this notion and emboldened the U.S. to employ the same nation-building strategy in the Mid East. Among these Muslim nations, however, universal democracy has proven to be an illusion leading to over a half century of misguided foreign policy that has repeatedly failed. In what can only be characterized as an embarrassing display of ignorance, the U.S. has consistently underestimated the depth and determination of Islam’s political ideology.[5] Nazism, Japanese imperialism, and Soviet brand communism were a mere flash-in-the-pan compared to Islamic supremacism, the roots of which go back fourteen centuries. Islamism is here to stay.

U.S. military and economic intervention in Iran, Iraq, Egypt, and even Afghanistan have failed either to hold Islamists at bay or to establish stable Islamic democracies. The so-called “Arab Spring,” which re-energized hopes of establishing democracy in the Mid East and Africa, has turned icy; in every country, fascist regimes collapsed under the pressure of popular uprisings, only to be replaced by radical Islamic governments. It is clear that many Muslims either prefer Shariah law to democracy, are willing to acquiesce to the will of militant Islamists[6], or have no capability with which to fend off the militant Islamists.

I wouldn't call them "moderates," but Hezbollah is a very different type of terrorist organization than ISIS. I had someone in law enforcement tell me that Hezbollah is sort of like a cross between a political party with a well-armed militia and an organized crime family. Their terrorist attacks usually are very focused on the geographic areas where they operate, which probably explains why they'd be condemning an Islamic terrorist attack in Europe.

I believe many Western countries don't even consider Hezbollah a terrorist organization in its entirety. Instead, they treat the organization's leadership as a legitimate political faction and its militants as terrorists.
