HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Republican U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta of Pennsylvania, a crusader against illegal immigration, is telling GOP officials and activists that he's decided to run for the U.S. Senate seat now held by Democrat Bob Casey.
A person familiar with the discussions tells The Associated Press that Barletta began telling party officials of his decision last week. The person spoke on condition of anonymity Monday because Barletta has not yet made his plans public.

Lou is a great guy. He should offer a strong challenge to Casey. Lou is tops on the immigration issue.

Bartletta was one of Trump’s biggest supporters in PA in 2016.

lol. Well in some cases maybe, but if that were the case then Democrats would have a good 58 votes on their hands which is not the case. Democrats basically won 1 vote on a bill this year and 17 of those “RINO’s” voted for the healthcare bill.
The last two earned their way onto the list by backing transgenders in the military.
Alexander, Corker, Flake, Graham, Hatch, Heller, Hoeven, Murkowsky, McCain, Rubio all voted for amnesty.
Graham has told us if we do not remove them from office they WILL abandon the rule of law and give away the country.
Corker, Hatch, Heller and Flake are up in 2018.
Haven’t lived in Penna since college 59 but I seem to remember reading tat som Hazelton mayor was driving liberals nuts there.
They probably thought the tweet wasn’t valid which it wasn’t. So they probably were just saying what current law was. I just think it is stupid to throw people under the bus for nothing. What does saying they support trans in the military do? Nothing. There is no vote. Ernst is a hell of a great senator who SAID something perhaps dumb but does make her a RINO. If we continue to kick the senators over one stupid thing then we will lose.
McCain and the others voted no to a very Obamalite bill. I think going back to the drawing board is a better option then voting for whatever sticks.
Mental illness has no place in the military.
Casey is absolutely retarded. He does nothing at all and he speaks like a pot head. The only reason he is in any position in politics is because of his late father and the fact Pennsylvanians are lazy voters. It didn’t help that Santorum didn’t know how to run a campaign.
