Apology Tour? Rex Tillerson Blames U.S. for Mexico’s Organized Crime Problem [VIDEO]
thepolitistick ^ | MAY 19, 2017 | MATTHEW K. BURKE

Okay, it’s not exactly an apology tour because he spoke the words while on U.S. soil. But it was an apology for America by Trump Secretary of State Rex Tillerson while standing alongside Mexican Foreign Secretary Luis Videgaray Caso and Mexican Secretary of Government Miguel Angel Osorio Chong on Thursday during a press conference at the State Department.

Speaking about the “illicit drug trade” while holding his hand over his chest for several seconds as a symbol of admitted guilt, Trump Secretary of State Rex Tillerson argued that Mexico’s organized crime problem is the fault of the Unites States and that the American people need to own up to it:

“We know what we own, and we as Americans need to confront that we are the market. There is no other market for these activities –it is all coming here. But for us, Mexico wouldn’t have the trans-criminal organized crime problem and the violence that they’re suffering. And we really have to own up to that.” Granted, the U.S. buys more drugs from Mexico than any other country in the world. But to tie that to making America fully responsible for their organized drug problem and “suffering” is a huge stretch — one that we would expect to hear from an America-hating leftist.

I’m old enough to remember former President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry constantly apologizing to foreign countries for the U.S. and back then — in the good old days — it was called an “apology tour” and certainly unpatriotic.

Fine, start charging and jailing employers, even homeowners and families for hiring illegal aliens. Remove the lure of jobs.

Wah, Wah, Wah.......How about first getting the questionable states to get rid of their Sanctuary Cities? If I'm not mistaken, he's already undertaken that task...............Sheesh!

Tillersone may have a point here. Though after blaming Israel for terrorism rather wrought by muslims, I’m arching my brow over anything he might say.

He’s right... one look at American cities and it’s obvious the dependent class is spending their federal funds on drugs.

imho, Tillerson looks like he’s been undermining USA and DJT’s policies..from the git-go. DJT needs someone in the Snake Dept who will help DJT “drain the swamp”...get rid of the anti-American, pro-Islamicists that have infected that department. Drain the Swamp, NOT mobilize and lead its alligators in their continuous sniping and undermining of DJT

get over yourself.

NO, YOU get over YOURSELF........

You're nothing but a lonely keyboard monkey who thinks you have all the answers to the problems that this administration is being faced with from not only the Democrats, the MSM, but the all knowing critics such as yourself..........

You’re just angry that trump’s not the god he professes to be. I can assure you I want the promises he made fulfilled. I want obamacare gone. I want taxes to go down. I want the wall built. I want him to get rid of all the obama appointees in the gov’t.

So far, not of this is coming to fruition. He needs to be a leader and get the things done that we’re waiting on and he promised. I want him to quit being distracted by liberals or the media saying mean stuff about him and run the damn gov’t efficiently and effectively.

Markets are created by products. Not the other way around. Without a product there is no market. The astounding growth of the illegal drug trade creates its own market. Without that production there is no market. If unicorns are not available they will not be sold. Find a pair of unicorns pooping skittles and dancing on rainbows and your fortune is made.

It’s what Reagan said. We are the market. What is incorrect about that?

He’s absolutely right. It’s Economics 101 and conservatives should know it instinctively. If there’s no market, there’s no illicit trade. Widespread drug “chic” is one of America’s worst legacies from the 1960s. It’s doing enormous harm to this country and to Mexico as well.

I absolutely agree.

this is why we need a border wall.

No markets, no organized crime

With drugs being tough to get, I estimate half the psychiatric population would disappear. Lots of jobs depend on them. Lots of meds too.

Everyone in the illegal drug chain from the producers to transporters to dealers in the US to those who use them are in the wrong. Suppliers and demanders are in the wrong here and everyone in between. Stupid of T-Rex to grovel and act as if the US is to blame for Mexico’s part in it.

Not impressed with him.

Well, if we recognize it, lets shut it down. Further, lets make it to expensive for Mexicans to respond to our market. They need to know, market or not, that they and their products are not welcome. Apologize for not making it so clear, suggest that we could start shoot drug dealers and human smugglers in the future if they don’t stop encouraging and sending people over the border.

Build the wall. By the way Mexico has been corrupt for the longest time

We need the Border wall now!

The drugs will get thru easily right now since we do not have a Border wall at our Southern border.

From Brownsville, Texas to south of San Diego, California there is no Southern Border Wall!

We only have $1.6 Billion dollars to build the wall and we have this money since we took out from the U.S. budget the operations that American Taxpayers would pay for these transgender type of operations.

This is why the American Taxpayer is so P.O.ed at our politicians in Congress right now.

President Trump came up with this idea and not Paul Ryan who needs to go as our Speaker of the People's House and McConnell needs to resign now.

You r 100% correct that Mexico is a third world $#%@ hole and a very corrupt country just like the rest of Central America and most of South America.

#18: "Before the 60’s social revolution there was no narcotraficante problem like this."

Even the old timer mafioso didn't want anything to do with drugs. Mario Puzo expounds on this in his works, and even the Godfather movies touch upon this subject.

He is correct, drug users in the USA have created the Cartels and keep them in business. If the drugged out Americans stop buying cocaine and pot from Mexico, the Cartels would lose their power
