Maybe they're actually Democrats? They certainly "argue" like the Regressives. I'm always happy to discuss an issue with someone who disagrees with me, but they have to be able to provide some facts and logic, not just scream with rage.

Okay, now you're talking instead of flinging epithets, and I'm interested in what you have to say. In answer to your question, I think if she'd held out for marriage, he'd have disappeared so fast he'd have left skid marks, and then yes, the result would have been a lot different. She wouldn't have been set on fire and she wouldn't be carrying a(nother) child she can't afford to raise.
Of course some married women are beaten as well--contrary to your implication, I never said otherwise--but any social worker can tell you it happens far more often to unmarried women. My point is that women can control a lot of things in their lives, and sleeping with men to whom they're not married is one of them. If women were raised to think highly of themselves, they wouldn't choose a path nearly guaranteed to make them and their resulting children poor, abused, and miserable. Wouldn't you agree?

I whole-heartedly agree that sex outside of marriage is asking for trouble. Unfortunately, all too many men and women become total idiots when they are in physical relationships.. Married or not.

Well that is an entirely different statement than predictions of extinction. It might very well be that a very different population (and possibly much smaller) of humans would be present today if children were the byproduct of marital relations only.
I don’t think you can be certain that every person alive today has at least one illegitimate ancestor.
In a similar way, there are many people who were conceived shortly after a miscarriage. Technically this means they would not exist if it were not for the death of their sibling. But such facts can not be extrapolated to demonstrate that miscarriages are necessary to avoid extinction.
If the earth was not being populated by descendants of illegitimate offspring, then it would probably still be populated by legitimate ones.

I'm half tempted to give Spain a partial pass on the Inquisition. The had just barely finished ending over 700 years of muslim domination. At that point, the only thing they knew was massive institutional cruelty.

Real men don’t ask for sex outside of marriage.. Real men respect and honor women.. And women know it and respect them back. if that angers a man you know all you need to know about him.
Women need to exercise common sense. He’s a violent thug just out of prison. She undoubtedly knew that. She started a relationship. What did she expect?

The islamic invasion in 711 and the subjugation of Spain until it was finally caste out in 1492 might have something to do with that. Over 700 years under the heel of islam has got to leave a mark or two on a culture.
