On her show this morning, Laura Ingraham reviewed the Acting ICE Director’s news conference. Sounded like he hit all the problems that illegal immigration has caused and also sanctuary cities, and the fact the the failure to enforce the law acts as a constant lure for others to enter the US illegally.
Sounds like they need to remove “Acting” from his title.
What bearing does that have on dealing with illegals already here?
None.
We don't need easier immigration of any kind.
We are already over-run and need time to assimilate the massive number of recent immigrants already here.
A recent estimate is that the combined population share of foreign-born people and their U.S.-born children is 26% of the total population.
America doesn't exist for the convenience of those who want to immigrate.
Immigration should be of benefit to the country and for the good of the country.
It is not our duty or responsibility to accept immigrants just because they want to come here.
Especially populations that don't want to assimilate and who introduce strife and become a burden.
It is silly isn’t it?
BOOM! is king of childish, at least for this site.
Honestly I agree, and I don’t think they would actually vote to make it better anyhow. But my point was that I would be curious of the true colors both parties would show if someone introduced and confused the whole argument with a fast track bill. Know what I mean?
I wont click on anything that says: BOOM.

You can’t click on “BOOM” to see the video.
So??? It’s not supposed to be a cutn’paste deal to immigrate...
That's "Twitchy" SOP.
Please read my reply to Vlad below.
He said, “it’s not good to be here illegally.”
Click. Bait.
See those little diaper wearing reporter boys on the left?...They just didn’t want to hear it. When the one femmy boy opened his mouth attempting to interrupt, too bad had the man didn’t walk over and tell him to shut up to his face and listen.
Sorry. "BOOM!" was part of the original headline. Was I supposed to redact it?
“Legal” immigration has been ongoing in this country for a couple hundred years...People follow the laws and then are allowed to come in....
Well it's in the title yet ya still clicked on the thread. What's up with that?
I like KABOOM !!!
Of course. But one could compare the current laws to this...
It is not like going to a miller with your wagon load of grain and having to wait all day for him to mill it.
It is more like taking your grain to the miller, waiting for the miller to have a son, then having to wait for the miller’s son to grow old enough for the son to mill your grain.
This is how the current laws work ... And this is one of the reasons people are jumping fences.
Yep! Nothing like lazy childish clickbait that can’t put what happened in the title.
From U.S. Immigration.com:
If you are a recognized researcher or professor, a multinational executive or manager, or someone with extraordinary ability, you are generally in the first preference of employer sponsored immigration. If you have a PhD or Masters degree and have exceptional skills in business, the arts, or sciences, you may qualify for a green card under the second preference. If you are a skilled worker or professional, you may qualify for immigration under third preference. This category also covers workers who require less than two years of experience, training, or education. Other workers may have to wait five years or even more to get their green card. Religious workers and other specialized workers belong in the fourth preference of immigration while investors are in the fifth preference. Employment based immigration petitions have a zero to three year backlog in most categories and in most cases the government processing time for each category is an average of one and a half to three years.
Seems your friend might be having a problem....
Twitchy also takes a bit to load because it is sending so much useless clickbait, then puts a “sign up for more of our crap” overlay before you can read their article. Humbug!
He would fall into the employer sponsored category. there have been several opportunities for him to do this but the jobs fell through before they both could get it done because of the lengthy process.
Then he had to start the process all over again as each opportunity came around. Like I say it has been over seven years now. He might have been better off just applying for a labor permit.
But from what he was telling me those wait times they quote are about as reliable as the wait time for a FOIA request. It really does not happen nearly as fast as they claim it does. If you don’t dot your I or cross your T (at their discretion of course)you have to go back to square one and start over.
The system really does have some serious fails.
