I still don’t hear anything at all about improving the system to make it easier for LEGAL vetted immigration. I would be curious how the dems would stand on an action like this if presented? Fight against it also in favor of illegal immigration instead?

I share your same aversion - Make an exception in this case. I did watch this and I would highly, highly recommend you watch the video of ICE Director Thomas Homan explaining just how and why sanctuary cities are drug trafficers/human smugglers best friend - its a great video there is a wonderful side by side of him and then the reporters he is preaching the gospel too

My paraphrase of the ICE officer for those who are also boom-shy.
He said we as a country need to be concerned about illegal aliens, know that it’s a crime that they came here the way they did and stop incentivizing them with promises of sanctuary cities. He said that such sactuary cities are free advertising for drug-trafficker/gun-runner coyotes to acquire human trafficking business. He was interrupted when he went in depth into the atrocities visited upon paying customers by coyotes (what it’s like to die locked in an overheated trailer, a father watching his 5 year old son - what their last 30 minutes was like).
