A Bucks County man has been charged with swerving his pickup truck in such a way as to allow his wife to fall out of the vehicle on the Lincoln Highway in Falls Township, critically injuring her after a day of arguing about finances and downing four beers and two shot of tequila within an hour at a bar.
The woman, Robin Ryan, who also was run over by a trailer being pulled by the pickup, suffered a broken leg and serious head injuries during the incident about 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
Her husband, Andrew L. Ryan, 31, of Warminster, has been charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, drunken driving and related offenses.
Police said Ryan told them he and his wife had been bickering about money all day

It sounds like Pennsylvania Redneck...
But Bucks County is very suburbia.
Couldn’t happen. It’s against the law to do this. Must be fake news.
Oh oh.
Drunk and run over by a trailer.
Time to check and see if all the cousins made it home from the family reunion.

Obviously steering wheels must be restricted in motion to prevent swerving. Pass laws now.
Sounds like the makings of a Blues song...
“a day of arguing about finances and stopped at a local bar for about an hour downing four beers and two shot of tequila”
Do I have to say it? Redirecting finances away from bars and liquor stores might ease that tight budget a bit. Geez
“I got drunk an run over my old lady with my pickup truck”...
Could work for Delbert McClinton
Oh.
Only four beers and two shots of Tequila in an hour?
Not one of my cousins then.
“My Wife Done Got Run Over By A Trailer”
Or don’t get married.
Must have been a hell of an argument if she
wouldn’t even ride in the cab going back home.
No mention of whether the bass boat was damaged?
.... So the cop says; “Your wife fell out of your truck 10 miles back. Didn’t you notice that??”
And the man says; “Well, no. I just thought I’d suddenly gone deaf.”
Tell you what, there is no such thing as an “accident” anymore. It is always “Someone’s” fault and the courts award it as such.
When alcohol is involved you have lost already. You are guilty period. I know someone who had an accident while under the influence.
He ran off the road and crashed. There was a guy standing 200 feet away who claimed that the accident “Scared him” and caused him to fall down injuring his arm slightly “after the fact”.
He was already asked if he had been injured during the accident investigation by police and he said no at the time. Then a week later he changed his mind.
New charges were filed and the driver was charged for “injuring” this man in the accident, Was fined and jailed, and he lost a civil judgment that awarded the max of the liability insurance coverage to the man who fell down 200 feet away.
If I’d shot my ex when I first wanted to, I’d have been out by now.
Maybe the woman should be charged also. How do we know she didn’t do something to really piss this guy off?
I wonder if it’s possible to be charged with aiding and abetting your own ass kicking?
Seatbelt malfunction?
