Chauntyll Allen wasnt sure how to feel on Monday when she traveled to Justine Damonds memorial site in the affluent South Minneapolis neighborhood known as Fulton.
The 43-year-old leader of a Black Lives Matter group in St. Paul, Minnesota, stood near Xerxes Avenue and 51st St. by the late Damonds home, watching the mostly white residents share remarks about police brutality and the need for police reform.
Many of those same people, she recalled, were nowhere to be found when Allen and her fellow activists were out marching for justice for black police-shooting victims like Philando Castile and Jamar Clark.
Some white people dont feel the tragedy until one of them is murdered, Allen told Mic on Wednesday.
Despite her reservations, Allen and her pro-BLM allies are joining the call for justice for Damond, an Australian white woman, who was fatally shot Saturday by Mohamed Noor, a black and Muslim Minneapolis police officer of Somali descent.
Were going to be doing a rally on Friday in solidarity with Justine, Allen said. Its that time where that 99% of people need to get together and decide that lives need to matter. Im not saying All Lives Matter. Im saying, lives matter.

I wondered where BLM would come down.
They side against the cops, with the dead yoga woman.
Im not saying All Lives Matter. Im saying, lives matter.
Maybe because YOU made it a race issue, Chantelle.
As long as people keep redirecting the blame to fit politically correct agendas, their protests are as effective as putting out a fire using match sticks.
99% of people already think all lives matter, dumbshit butthead.
You and your crowd of BLM idiots are the only ones who claim other wise (well, you and muslims).
Im not saying All Lives Matter. Im saying, lives matter.
Pretzel logic.

Actually they probably were somewhere to be found. They probably could have been found near Xerxes Avenue and 51st St., in the same place they were found by Allen. Because that’s where they live.
If Justine Damond were my sister I’d rather have that so called crackpot Terry Jones hold a Koran burning at her memorial than to associate with BLM.
They pretend this is the first such case of an unarmed white person being shot by an officer.
Just the first one to get national and international press. If she’d been a US housewife or college student from the burbs it wouldn’t be in the press.
BLM is a terrorist organization in my not so humble opinion.
They might just side with the cop saying the white woman should have been shot because she was exercising her white privilege.
Im not saying All Lives Matter. Im saying, lives matter.
Pretzel logic.
It’s self censorship. The term all lives matter is taboo. It’s been deemed politically incorrect and racist.

...
It appears to be an OK neighborhood of smaller, older houses. I wouldn’t call it affluent.
get over yourself, Chantyle. Last I heard, BLM told white folk not to bother to show up and if they did, get in the back of the line because they weren’t wanted. and if BLM thinks they invented complaining against police brutality, it’s time for them to wakey wakey and realize we’ve been protesting it for a long time - we just don’t think burning buildings and stabbing horses is part of that protesting.
“If Justine Damond were my sister Id rather have that so called crackpot Terry Jones hold a Koran burning at her memorial than to associate with BLM.”
She’s not your sister and her people don’t agree with you.
They are associating with BLM and her family has taken a BLM-supporting lawyer.
Maybe it’s because BLM keeps equating punk thugs w/rap sheets who were actually breaking the law when they were faced w/police attention to literally innocent citizens w/no priors not breaking the law. I am continually amazed that BLM has yet to get ONE genuine poster child for their cause. It’s almost as if law abiding blacks don’t get killed doing stupid illegal things.....hmmmmmm........ It is almost enough to make one think.....
yeah it must be a problem...
gotta be up there with 1917 query how on earth will we ever put a man on the moon ???
She’s a racist and the one who wrote the article is a racist.
Is "affluent" dog whistle for "white" neighborhood? (i.e., NOT Ghetto)
I love watching libtards having to tie themselves up in knots trying to defend and make sense of their ridiculous ideologies. It’s sort of a guilty pleasure of mine.
This is a good one. Heh.
“BLM keeps equating punk thugs w/rap sheets who were actually breaking the law when they were faced w/police attention to literally innocent citizens w/no priors not breaking the law”
Yes.
BLM seems to me to be a communist front group with a lot of useful idiots.
