President Trump lashed out at Attorney General Jeff Sessions in an interview on Wednesday, saying that he would have picked somebody else for attorney general if he had known that Sessions was going to recuse himself from the Russia investigation.
“Sessions should have never recused himself and if he was going to recuse himself he should have told me before he took the job and I would have picked somebody else,” Trump told The New York Times.

That happened a while back. If he feels that way then why hasn't he replaced him instead of just complaining about him? It is not like he is powerless. He is POTUS.
I think it was unwise of Trump to make such a statement in a public interview.
Sessions should never have picked swamp denizen Rod RosenKrantz, colluder with Mueller and Comey. Dark State all the way.

I hope President Trump has someone of quality, and a loyal supporter waiting in the wings for Mr. Sessions position he can name as an alternative. Such an announcement might kick Mr. Sessions in the ass to do something more than exist in the background.
Yes I know all about the busts he’s led, but he has to walk, and chew gum at the same time to keep up with what is necessary in this administration.
Mr. Sessions needs to kick it into high gear, and get moving against the enemies within. Those enemies are creating chaos.
I’d dip into a red state and get a law and order State AG who has read and can comprehend the Constitution. There are a bunch out there. I certainly would not nominate anymore from the DC swamp for any position in the Admin.
One wonders if it’s too late for Jeff Sessions to resign and come back to Alabama and run for his senate seat.
I agree. And Sessions is one of the strongest conservatives in the administration and the highest profile Southerner where conservative policies have been few and far between. Fire him and he could alienate many of his Southern voters.
Trump is acting like the driver in a clown car that rolled over.
Sessions is a decent and honorable man. This kind of behind the back sniping and stabling is wholly unbecoming. Another resignation in the offing, another heated confirmation and for several weeks the agenda goes off the road.
Nice way to stay focused and do the job the American people sent you to do.
