DC allows doctors to prescribe life-ending medications

Doctors and pharmacies in the nation’s capital are now allowed to prescribe life-ending medications to terminally ill patients.

The Death with Dignity Act of 2016 became law with the signature of Mayor Muriel Bowser in December of 2016. Now the Bowser administration has announced the implementation of the law in the District.

The city said the law allows terminally ill D.C. residents over the age of 18 to legally obtain a physician’s prescription for medications to end their lives in a humane and peaceful manner.

we know where this is headed. Able to prescribe will become mandated to prescribe and the patient forced to use.

Liberals are the ones who are sick.

You forgot the middle phase (currently practiced in Denmark) where doctors trick old people into taking life ending drugs.

Same as in Holland. Children can be given poison to kill them. One begins to wonder if there is anything worth saving in this country.

I’d like to see the warning labels on this kind of “medication.”

Refills: none.
Dosage: Take one a day until dead.
Warning, This product has been tested on laboratory animals, and has been declared safe, and has not been known to cause cancer, heart disease or diabetes.
Take with a glass of water, on an empty stomach. Improper use may lead to living another day. Do not take if you are currently experiencing chest pains, nausea, or headaches.
Known side effects: ingrown toenail, athletes foot, death.
