libtards have a disintegrated mode of thought and will not use reason or be oriented to reality
Anybody else getting a sense of a disconnect with this article appearing in NR and being written by a Bush flunky? Am I overthinking this? Where’s the evidence that McCarthy was an advocate for natural law thinking during the Bush years if he has such a deep understanding and places such a high value on it? Does this only come about when they go to think tanks to write articles?
Once Mark Levin discovered NeverTrumpism I stopped being interested in anything he had to say.
Back during the 1987 Bicentennial of the United States Constitution, Our Ageless Constitution, a 290-page volume, was published (Stedman & Lewis). A later condensed volume of the same work was entitled, Rediscovering the Ideas of Liberty.
Many of the essays outlining and discussing those "ideas of liberty" are available for download online here.
Restoration of those ideas to the minds of Americans today, coupled with a dedicated commitment to them by all who seek liberty and freedom, are essential if the American Republic is to survive for future generations.
I trust a Constitutionalist like Publius Huldah (News With Views) more than I trust a Neoconservative like Mark Levin on this Liberty Amendments Trojan Horse.
One is only naturally a US citizen when there is no alternative, born here of citizen parents.
Foreign national parents and foreign births bring other citizenships and divided loyalties.
Until Levin figures out that Cubanadians are not eligible to be President, he’s not worth listening to if he doesn’t know what natural born citizen means. It is one of the most important safeguards written into the Constitution.
Barack Hussein Obama should be proof enough for anyone that the founders were correct to exclude children of foreign nationals.
So Mark Levin and The National Review are all of the sudden discovering Natural Law? A day late and a dollar short. These are the same traitors that rejected Natural Law when the question of Obama’s eligibility for president was on the table.... despite the United States Supreme Court defining natural born Citizen using the Natural Law definition at least 5 times. Yet these treasonous scumbags seem to still have a following here at freerepublic. Pathetic.
BTT
That is correct. However...
When the question of Barry Soetoro's Article 2, Section 1, Clause 5 Constitutional eligibility to be President was put forth based on his being born with foreign citizenship (& therefore foreign allegiance owed) because he inherited his foreign fathers foreign citizenship regardless of his place of birth...THAT was a no go for ole' Mark.
The "natural born Citizen" requirement is straight out of the NATURAL LAW treatise that the framers actually read and referenced during the convention itself. The Law of Nations.
Since questioning Barry's eligibility was "hard work", Mark chose to ignore Natural Law and instead sided with the ignoramus's in media and constantly ridiculed the many of us who were actually putting our money & our efforts on the line to get the issue resolved.
Because he's inconsistent, and tragically so when it actually mattered most for our Constitutional Republic, I for one am not buying what Mark is selling.
