The police work for us, not the mayor - particularly not a Leftist traitor who took off for Germany to betray our Prseident and embarrass the American people.
Some time ago, when I was a mere 2nd Lieutenant of Marines, my Commanding General allowed a Marine I captured dealing drugs and in the possession of huge quantities of stolen goods - and putting a contract out on me - to get off with a mere Undesirable Discharge instead of a court martial and the long prison sentence he deserved. He did that to avoid the expense and hassle of flying the drug experts in from Camp Zama Japan.
At the mandatory Christmas Party immediately afterward I ran into that General and before he could say anything, I turned my back on him.
Sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe in.
This seems to set a very low bar for defining anarchy and the notion of a government blowing itself utterly apart. When a large gathering of heavily armed individuals, capable of literally blowing things apart, instead resort to a mere gesture of disapproval, civility has been shown to rule the day.
Turning their backs to the Dope From Park Slope was entirely appropriate. I wonder if they also gave him a “Twenty One Bun Salute” while they were so positioned. He would have deserved that, too. Then would have accused them of contributing to global warming!
This is the entrance into that path. Police are servants never masters.

Rev. John MacArthur, no wimp, said that he would have risen for President Clinton on account of the post that was assigned to him by God.
God deserves the honor for arranging for even de Blasio to be mayor and to have a mantle of authority.
The respect is paid to God for the sake of that mantle, accompanied by the hope that the ceremonial honoree will yield to the better wishes of that same God.

While I agree with you in principle, try telling that to big city cops as they are slipping the bracelets on you for inadvertently lighting up a fine cigar in the wrong place (Just about anywhere in the the Big Appleshit).They are nothing more than street muscle for corrupt politicians. Those that turned their backs are soon going to find themselves on individual patrol in the worst neighborhoods after midnight on extreme low priority for backup. One of those scheduling things.
