In a welcome surprise for the arms industry, 2017 is on a pace to easily be the second biggest for gun sales ever, and could beat last year's record. FBI revealed that 12,601,102 checks have already taken place this year. Background checks are seen as a good gauge of gun sales, though not all sales have to go through the system and some sales are rejected.

In June, the FBI conducted 1,901,768. That is 229,717 less than in June of 2016. In May, there were more background checks conducted than in May 2016. Last year a record 27,538,673 checks were conducted. This year is likely to surpass 25 million, but current cut-rate deals could spike sales, according to industry representatives.

Hummmm, I wonder what 'cut-rate" deals they are talking about. Always room for a toy.

Some of the gun purchases have been by the Leftist Losers.

Most of the gun purchases are due to the realization by our side that the Losing Leftists are a nasty, dangerous and violent bunch of thugs.

One might think, that since Trump HAS won, that the number of gun sales would necessarily drop, but there are two factors to consider here. One, that the sustained sales are not to those who already have a strong belief in the Second Amendment as a means to support the Constitution, but rather, that the sales may very well be to those of the anti-American persuasion that have finally decided to arm themselves.

The second factor may be that it is recognized that the anti-Americans, in losing, have become a much more dangerous adversary, and the Second Amendment people who recognize this factor, are building up their armories even more.

Because there are now growing possibilities, probabilities, that foreign hordes would invade the homeland in a swarm from the Mexican border, and not necessarily persons of the Western Hemisphere.

The blades of grass will conceal armed defenders.

Springfield Armory is offering 4 free magazines, a holster and mag holder.
Walther is offering rebates.

I just started a new part-time job in a gun store.
Sales have been good.

Remington, Marlin, S&W and Browning have rebate programs going.

Keep your eye on the sales at Kentucky Gun and Bud's.

There have been some pretty good buys there - especially when coupled with the rebates.

Probably at some of their competition too.

I suspect that many gun owners including myself had made do with the guns we already had. With possible new bans on the horizon, I rearranged the budget and bought the first new weapons in more than a decade. It turns out once you start buying again, it’s hard to stop.

Wow, that place is expensive, curious to see what a new M14 would cost, around 3K.
