On April 6, United States President Donald Trump authorized an early morning Tomahawk missile strike on Shayrat Air Base in central Syria in retaliation for what he said was a deadly nerve agent attack carried out by the Syrian government two days earlier in the rebel-held town of Khan Sheikhoun. Trump issued the order despite having been warned by the U.S. intelligence community that it had found no evidence that the Syrians had used a chemical weapon.
The available intelligence made clear that the Syrians had targeted a jihadist meeting site on April 4 using a Russian-supplied guided bomb equipped with conventional explosives. Details of the attack, including information on its so-called high-value targets, had been provided by the Russians days in advance to American and allied military officials in Doha, whose mission is to coordinate all U.S., allied, Syrian and Russian Air Force operations in the region.

I suspect Hersh had access to Russian intelligence reports to support his contention that the Americans were in the loop on the bombing mission the Syrians were going to carry out.
Yes, I trust German sources even less than our own these days. But then again, Seymour is at his typical work here.
I suspect Hersh is who he has always been. His stories are always outrageous and filled with zero sources or facts. He is a gossip monger
First I saw that this was out of Germany and gave it no credibly. But then I saw the Seymore Hirsch by-line and I did a full 360.

I’m confused media. How can they attack a town with something they do not have? This is one of those times the conservatives need to hammer the liberal press to the extreme. And if it happens again bring down the nine pounder each time. Freedom of the press is not the freedom to lie.

Wait a minute. How does Seymour Butts, I mean Hersch, know what the U.S. intelligence community told President Trump?
The obvious answer would be that Hersh has contacts within the intelligence community who fed him that information.
Contrary to Hersh however, I happen to believe Trump also knew he was being presented with a false flag situation and decided to use it to his own advantage.
Let me translate this story for all of you: We want to accuse Trump of being a Putin puppet. Trump militarily attacking a Russia ally doesn’t fit that narrative, therefore we must say that every Anti-Russian move by Trump is misguided or worse.
