(CNN)President Donald Trump said "we're going to have to see" when asked about the future of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is reportedly investigating whether Trump attempted to obstruct justice. "Well, he is very very good friends with (former FBI Director James) Comey, which is very bothersome," the President said in a Fox News clip that aired Thursday. "We're going to have to see." Trump fired Comey over dissatisfaction with how the FBI head was handling the investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 election. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein later appointed Mueller, a former FBI director, as special counsel to oversee the investigation, including potential collusion between Trump's campaign associates and Russian officials.

Bromance
It certainly creates teh appearance of a conflict of interests, increased by the fact that he’s hired only Hillary and Obama activists for his staff.
to say the least
A major Conflict of interest
Comey is Mueller’s secret lover.
Mr. President....Bothersome is an excellent choice of words.

My questions is why did Rosenstein appoint Mueller? No one has asked him that.
Rosenstein is supposedly a non-political career prosecutor, so he may have been tone deaf on the political implications of this pick, or whether he even had to hand it off. Surely, someone within the DOJ could have handled the “investigation”.
Everyone knows that special counsels are always a disaster and very expensive and draining on the country.
Sorry, but Trump should have been bothered before he hired him. Rosenstein is bothersome enough to deserve to be fired. Drain the swamp, don’t refill it.
President Trump knows what is going on and knows what he is doing...
His timing is impeccable...
Wait for it.....
Cmon GOP, Rush, Levin, Hannity, et al
Sound it LOUD & CLEAR
MUELLER & CO-CONSPIRATORS MUST GO !!
GTHO NOW !!
you can bet one hting for sure- IF meuller and comey were favorable towards republicans, and they were investigating a democrat president, the left would be screaming bloody hell about how ‘inappropriate’ it is and how it was a ‘conflict of interest’ and they would have ALREADY gotten mueller kicked off the investigation by now-
It just discredits the appearance of impartiality.
Keep it up, Mueller!! No one will believe a word coming out of his office.
They have lost moral authority!
Mr. President....Bothersome is an excellent choice of words.
“Everyone knows that special counsels are always a disaster and very expensive and draining on the country.”
Congress can write a new special counsel law any day. I suggest:
1) Investigations be limited to no more than 6 months. At that time the matter is turned over to a prosecutor or the investigation ends.
2) Mission is defined very narrowly in writing. Prosecutor cannot expand the scope of the investigation without direction from the Justice Department or Congress.
3) A special prosecutor, or anyone hired by the prosecutor, cannot have a close personal or business relationship with anyone under investigation.
4) The special prosecutor must advise notify anyone under investigation they are being investigated.
5) A defined budget is established and approved by Congress for the investigation. No more open checkbooks. The amounts paid to contracted attorneys, investigators and consultants must be released to the public.
6) Any charges against the President are referred to the House of Representatives, not the Justice Department.
7) A special prosecutor may only be appointed when the Justice Department lacks the resources to undertake an investigation.
From what I hear President Trump’s lawyers are all over this. Also some Republicans in the House.
