Beijing (AFP) - China opened its gates to US beef imports this week, giving American cattle farmers much sought-after access to the country's massive market following a 14-year ban.

Shipments of eligible US beef have been allowed to enter China since Tuesday, the General Adminstration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement.

Announced last month, the lifting of the beef embargo was one of the first concrete results of trade discussions that began when Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Donald Trump at the US leader's resort in Florida in April.

It’s time to cut out the middle man. US cattle interests and farmers will be kingpins now!

“China needs to be MORE OPEN TO FOREIGN GOODS.
We do not need to just sell beef. We need to open their entire system.”

In China, that has a specific meaning that we ignore. They will simply not surrender that kind of power upon our demand. They don’t see a need for it as they are expanding globally. And it taps into the historical resentment of the Brits and the opium wars era demanding that westerners set the rules for trade in China.

We can do much better with them, but its pipe dream that China would agree to become just another administrative district of the globalism NWO, run from DC and Brussels. Their markets will remain somewhat restricted, and they will not surrender management of their currency, no matter how much we scream.

We had far more negotiating power when we were not a debtor nation. But I do think Trump will get the best deal possible for any American leader. Nobody else will even come close.

I don’t like Chinese chicken being imported though. It’s bad enough that seafood comes from there and from Indonesia and Vietnam.

And labeling will help, but not as much as we think. The globalists can slap a “USA product” label on things that had one iota of processing here in the US.

It’s bad that seafood at the grocery store is all from Asia now. I avoid it like the plague.

Especially where the ChiComs are concerned. They need our markets, so make them sweat for it.

Good God. I think I’d wait in line at a food kitchen before I would ever lower myself to eating whatever they will be calling chicken.

Didn’t Nixon unilaterally open trade to China?

No Congressional action? Trade requires treaties.

Supply + Demand = _______?

And China just added it's 1.3+ billion mouths to the demand part of that equation.

Meanwhile:

"The United States is the only country in 2016 projected to import more than 1 million metric tons of beef. China, North Africa (& Middle East) and the United States are projected to import more than 1 million metric tons of beef in 2025."

All this announcement does is make it legal and allow it go into all of China instead of having to transit Hong Kong first!

It also reduces the price to China, enabling them to buy more.
