On the gun control debate, I’ll extend an olive branch. There are times when the left sort of makes sense about guns. For example, I think we can agree that terrorists should not get their hands on firearms, or at least make it hard for them to do so. Where they go off the hinges is when they try to use that argument to expand the grossly unconstitutional no-fly list program and bar Americans, who haven’t been convicted of any crimes, from being able to exercise their Second Amendment rights. How do you get on the list? How can you get your name removed from it? We don’t know. There’s really no due process. And then, there’s Salon’s analysis of the shooting, which gets into this analysis of how gun marketing is linked to “right-wing male power fantasies,” and how Republicans won’t change their minds about gun control. When you entrust another with your security and protection you place your life in their hands. When those in whom you place that trust don’t give a crap about you the result should be predictable...
Salon “publishes” endless stupid stuff. Why should any particular post of theirs be newsworthy?
And, the left is dug in because of LGBT and racist power fantasies. So?
And leftwing-nuts want guns outlawed because they pee their pants every time they see a gun.

Right wing male power isn’t a fantasy.
It is the glorious reality of life! Western Civilization didn’t begin to unravel until we decided to be fair and share that power.
Why don’t they just insult all of our mothers and get it over with.
Ever notice that gun control is never an issue as it pertains to the daily shootings in the inner-cities or committed by illegal aliens and Muslims?
What a COMPLETE naive. Terrorists don't go down the Guns'N'Gold on Broadway and fill out a Form 4473 to buy a gun, moron. They buy them on the black market.

The Left wants to ban guns because eventually the policies they wish to impose upon America will force armed resistance if Americans still possess guns
Before Salon should be worrying about ‘Right-Wing Male Power Fantasies’, they should be concerned with the violence (shootings) in Chicago and Baltimore and other large cities. Most of those shootings are not being done by ‘Right-Wing Males’.
I heard recently that some leftist organization convinced Senator Schumer to watch John Wick 2. Afterwards he called a presser to announce that he would be introducing a bill to outlaw the sale of pencils. In the mean time he called on congress to end the handicap loophole where the blind and handicap sell assault pencils on the street without any type of background check on the buyers.
My male power fantasy is the fantasy of all free people to remain free and not collapse into current day Venezuela or worse.
