“The Fed also announced on Wednesday that later this year it will begin to shrink the bond portfolio it amassed after the financial crisis to lower long-term rates.

Together, the rate hikes and the unwinding of the Fed’s portfolio could increase mortgage rates by half a percentage point a year,”

Are they finally unwinding QE monies? Really?

“Why do you need a CC for emergency? What constitutes an emergency that you will need to use a credit card for?”

If you’re ever out of town and have to rent a car/hotel room/ you’ll be out of luck without a CC.

When you pay for things using cash you are financing the “points” that my credit card gives me each year.

Using a CC and paying it off in full every month is cheaper than paying for everything with cash. Right or wrong, that’s the way the system works.

>>Why do you need a CC for emergency?

If they knew what the emergency was going to be then, well... it wouldn’t be an emergency.

I’ve got an emergency fund for emergencies.

Not mine.

I pay the balance off each month.

There have been some occasions — decades ago — when I carried a balance for a few months, if I had a major expense — usually auto related.

“Probably they’ll drop you soon.”
I’ve paid off every month for the last 40 years and no credit card company has dropped me yet.
They take their cut from the merchants.

“Not of you don’t owe anything.”

Spot on. I made the mistake of engaging in globalist/NWO consumerism that landed me in bankruptcy. That was a tough lesson I had to learn regarding the tricks and trades of the Jewish money changers in the temple.

I don’t have a credit card. I have a VISA debit card.

as Joesbucks said “I’ve got an emergency fund for emergencies.”

I don’t really understand having a credit card for emergencies.

Never once been turned down for a hotel or car rental.

Still never had a CC.

Explain that to me?

How does using cash finance your “points”?

How is using a credit card cheaper?

It must have been a long time ago that you rented a car without a CC. They won’t do it today.
