Saudi Arabias national football team have been criticised for failing to observe a minutes silence held before Thursdays match against Australia in Adelaide.
The [Australian] Socceroos lined up in the centre of the pitch before the World Cup qualifier and held the brief silence as a tribute to the two Australians killed in the terrorist attack in London at the weekend. As they did so, the Saudi Arabia team continued jogging, passing the ball between each other and taking their positions on the field.

Yet Saudi apologists assure us that Saudi Arabia is our most vital Middle Eastern ally in the war on terror, and that the Saudi officials in no way, shape, or form support Islamic radicalism.

That would mean the Aussies would have to forfeit the game. So what? Its only a game. A nations honor is at stake here.
Agreed. By tolerating their behavior and contuing with the game, the Australians basically let the Saudis get away with spitting in their faces.
We have no friends in the Middle East, except Israel. Saudi Arabia makes nice with us, takes our money, and funds the spread of *slam.
