The liberal position on Islamic terrorism, unchallenged by the media, and shared not only by most on the political left but also by some on the right (including Republican "moderates"), relies on the following arguments:

The 12 ways are as follows:
1. Islam (as practiced by the vast majority of Muslims) is a peaceful religion.
2. Islamic terrorists are reinterpreting the Koran.
3. Like the Koran, the Bible also contains violent passages.
4. Like Muslims, Christians also have engaged in violence.
5. Like the Islamic world, the West also has produced terrorists, including the United States, which has produced domestic terrorists (both left wing and right wing).
6. An underlying cause of terrorism is the failure of Muslim nations to provide Muslim youth with alternatives to Islamic groups like al Qaeda and ISIS.
7. Another underlying cause of terrorism is the use of military force by Western nations in the Middle East and northern Africa.
8. Yet another underlying cause of terrorism is the failure of Western nations in Europe to provide social and economic opportunities to Muslim immigrants, refugees, and their descendants.
9. The threat of terrorism increases when Western nations implement policies that are directed at Muslims.
10. Opposition to Islam is based on fear and hate; the individuals who oppose immigration from Muslim nations or who oppose accepting refugees are Islamophobic.
11. We cannot allow the terrorists to divide us.
12. The terrorists will never win; our values and our way of life will prevail.
Let em keep telling themselves that as their heads are being slowly cut off with a dull knife. The most idiotic thinking of our day.

All false.
“Bfl to refute this point by point. It reads like a catalog of fallacies”
Read the article.
These are the liberal lines that are used to encourage terrorists.
The author refutes each one in the article.
Islam is much more than a religion. We in the West are used to the "separation of church and state," but under islam, there is no such thing. Church IS state and state IS church. Laws are made by the church. "Justice" (such as it is) is administered by the church. Culture is defined by the church. All transactions, interactions, and congress among people is controlled by the church. Peaceful or not, islam is an authoritarian, totalitarian ideology.
2. Islamic terrorists are reinterpreting the Koran.
No, they are taking the koran literally. It exhorts its disciples to murder, rape, enslave, and mutilate infidels.
3. Like the Koran, the Bible also contains violent passages.
Yes, it does. Two problems with that: 1) The Old Testament, the site of those violent passages, is superseded by the New Covenant expressed in the New Testament. And 2) whether the Bible exhorts the ancient Israelites to violence, I don't see many Baptists flying airliners into buildings.
4. Like Muslims, Christians also have engaged in violence.
See 3, above.
5. Like the Islamic world, the West also has produced terrorists, including the United States, which has produced domestic terrorists (both left wing and right wing).
How many? How frequently do they act? And what motivates them?
6. An underlying cause of terrorism is the failure of Muslim nations to provide Muslim youth with alternatives to Islamic groups like al Qaeda and ISIS.
It isn't the responsibility of "muslim nations" to provide anyone with anything. It is the responsibility of human beings to live like civilized creatures, not bloodthirsty barbarians, regardless of their excuses.
7. Another underlying cause of terrorism is the use of military force by Western nations in the Middle East and northern Africa.
What military force? When Saddam invaded Kuwait, we kicked his scrawny ass back out. When he continued to sponsor terrorists, we invaded his backward shithole and killed him. Leave the rest of the world alone and the United States will leave you alone. Mess with us and you'll become a grease spot.
8. Yet another underlying cause of terrorism is the failure of Western nations in Europe to provide social and economic opportunities to Muslim immigrants, refugees, and their descendants.
The Western world does not owe muslime "immigrants" anything. Despite that, most nations give generous benefits to these unwashed invaders, a generosity for which they are repaid in blood, mayhem, and cultural destruction.
9. The threat of terrorism increases when Western nations implement policies that are directed at Muslims.
What policies prompted the Iranian hostage crisis? What about the first Trade Center bombing? The Bali massacre? Beslan? The London bus bombings? The Charlie Hebdo slaughter? The Paris bloodbath? And on and on and on ...? Western nations direct policies toward muslime terrorists because muslime terrorists direct savagery toward Western nations. You're confusing cause and effect.
10. Opposition to Islam is based on fear and hate; the individuals who oppose immigration from Muslim nations or who oppose accepting refugees are Islamophobic.
That's just a word. Opposition to islime is based on the fact that thousands of innocent people have been murdered by fanatics in the name of islime over the last half a century. And many thousands more over the millennia. A phobia is an irrational fear. There's nothing irrational about fearing such an amoral, primitive cult. In fact, it's irrational NOT to.
11. We cannot allow the terrorists to divide us.
Then stop being divided. Unite under the reality that unless we destroy the 'slimes, they'll destroy us.
12. The terrorists will never win; our values and our way of life will prevail.
Tell that to Arianna Grande's fans. Platitudes don't offer as much defense as an M16.
