On Nov. 24, 2015 Wood, now a father of eight and former pastor, was arrested after passing out about 50 Fully Informed Jury Association fliers on the sidewalk in front of the Mecosta County Courthouse on the day of another trial. The fliers discuss juror rights including those that are debated and often not read by judges in jury instructions: including a juror's right to vote their conscience, or jury nullification. ... Mecosta County Circuit Judge Kimberly Booher tried the case and ruled against the defense arguing much of First Amendment issues before the jury. ... A jury of six found Keith Wood guilty within 30 minutes Thursday, convicting him of attempting to influence a jury in Mecosta County.

They call themselves Africans first, so it’s accommodation. Everyone is prejudice, it’s called being a human, like making urine and carbon dioxide or choosing your mate or the color of your car. The guy who wrote the book was not involved in that investigation. I also am fully aware that lawyers and judges are far from honest, unlike the guy who wrote your book.
NPR RadioLab did a recent episode on this topic. Title: “Null and Void”.
I found it disturbing and full of propaganda. They painted a guy handing out pamphlets (don’t think it was Keith Wood, but maybe, can’t remember) as a dangerous nut case. Perhaps the particular guy they talked about was. But that does not negate the validity of the argument.
I was appalled at the discussion at the end of the episode. Too much “I trust the government to know what’s best and take care of me”.
IMO, there is abuse on both sides. The system is rigged by the lawyers and judges and they abuse it constantly. Then when activists find that they can get around it, (BLM and other racist groups), they also abuse it. From what I see, it’s the honest people who are the losers, regardless of whether they are plaintiffs or defendants. The dishonest have no problem manipulating the system.
I doubt there is any perfect system. It’s up to us to participate whenever we can and do what’s right.
Another problem (IMO) with the law is that in order to be “fair” it has to apply equally to everyone. It doesn’t. The powerful and rich (Hitlery, OJ, etc., etc.) are exempt. They are only prosecuted if they cross someone who is bigger and more powerful than they are.
OTOH one size fits all doesn’t always work, either. The young kid who is trying pot for the first time is not the same as the big time drug kingpin. Yet they are often charged and sentenced the same way. And regardless of the crime or the length of the sentence, the stupid young kid can end up in prison with hardened criminals.
NPR really sucks. Needs to be totally defunded by the congress. It is full of anti-American propaganda.
NPR is naturally a promoter of levithan
Congress should pass a law mandating that this pamphlet be read to ALL JURIES before deliberation.
Racist.
Sure you aren’t late for the Klan meeting?
Yeah right Mr. Jackson Sharpton. Races baiting seems to me your forte. I am not in the BLM or NAACP.
I read a bunch of your posts, and I would say that a majority a race-related. Racist troll. I am surprised that no one else has flagged some of your racist trash except that few people seem to respond. As far a I understand, this is a conservative forum, not Stormfront. I will continue to flag your racist trash comments.
You appear to be a leftist stalker and a race hustler.
And an OJ Simpson supporter.
It's my opinion that we have become so divided as a nation that it's nearly imposable for us to reach a conseses on anything..! There are those who hate our country and our constitution and their numbers are increasing every year...
Nice try. I am a Christian, a constitutionalist, a paleoconservative, and my posting history is consistent with that since I have been on FR (2007). Conflating race hustling with pointing out frank racism and “white pride/power” is deceitful. troll.
Not only are you a race pimp and a leftist stalker, we can add liar to your list. Congratulations tough guy.
There were numerous mistakes made, some of which led to reasonable doubt. I wouldn't have voted "guilty"if I was on that jury.
For instance, one reason that OJ's blood might have been at the scene was the fact that Detective Van Adder had a sample of OJ's blood in his pocket, and proceeded to bring it to the crime scene! That's just asinine!
There was also a willful misrepresentation (perjury) on the affidavit for the search warrant.
Not to mention that the glove DIDN'T fit, and the whole jury saw the dramatic demonstration.
You can argue that the prosecution botched the case, but to blame it on black jurors is ludicrous...
Yep, that’s what the old media said alright.
The prosecution was a joke. You don’t ask the accused to try on the glove for the first time in front of the jury. And you research your own witnesses so that they cannot themselves be charged with perjury. For the longest time I thought OJ was guilty. Then I heard the alternate theory about his son. It made so much more sense. LAPD had no interest because ? Well LAPD also had no interest in fully investigating the murder of RFK, when there was clear evidence of a wider plot.
