There were numerous mistakes made, some of which led to reasonable doubt. I wouldn't have voted "guilty"if I was on that jury.
For instance, one reason that OJ's blood might have been at the scene was the fact that Detective Van Adder had a sample of OJ's blood in his pocket, and proceeded to bring it to the crime scene! That's just asinine!
There was also a willful misrepresentation (perjury) on the affidavit for the search warrant.
Not to mention that the glove DIDN'T fit, and the whole jury saw the dramatic demonstration.
You can argue that the prosecution botched the case, but to blame it on black jurors is ludicrous...
Yep, that’s what the old media said alright.
The prosecution was a joke. You don’t ask the accused to try on the glove for the first time in front of the jury. And you research your own witnesses so that they cannot themselves be charged with perjury. For the longest time I thought OJ was guilty. Then I heard the alternate theory about his son. It made so much more sense. LAPD had no interest because ? Well LAPD also had no interest in fully investigating the murder of RFK, when there was clear evidence of a wider plot.
