The roadblock they fear is the old media empire run by organized crime, not the demorat opponents in congress. Like it or not, the old empire holds far more power than any rat party in congress.

Liberals are removing themselves from the gene pool. I know two young liberal professional women who have no desire to have children—so the genetic traits that made them liberal die with them.
Temperament is largely genetic. Temperament predisposes one to be liberal or conservative—or, more precisely speaking, to be emotion-driven or logic-driven. So when these liberals refuse to have kids, they are decreasing the prevalence of genes that affect temperament that pushes people to be liberal. I believe this is why the left is pushing so hard for illegal immigration—they are counting on the illegals to keep voting for them in return for generous hand-outs, because they don’t have the voting base among Americans any more.
I’m very skeptical of this article.
I feel like the left has won on getting the populace to think universal healthcare is some kind of expectation or even right.

The two parties are arguing about how exactly they want to socialize medicine. Not being socialized is not even on the table. We ain’t becoming a little bit conservative forget very.

There is a racial/ethnic aspect to it as well. Whites are overwhelmingly conservative. Blacks and other brown immigrants are overwhelmingly liberal, despite being religious.
The good news is that white liberals are dying off quickly. They aren’t marrying and they aren’t having kids. White liberal birthrates are well below replacement levels, while white conservative birthrates are among the highest in the industrialized world.

You are correct about the majority of Americans believing in God. For many God-believers, their religion is private.
Atheists may deny that they have souls, but they have souls all the same. All atheists’ souls will be judged, whether they like it or not.
We aren’t voting our way out of this mess folks. The thought of it is merely mental masterbation. We’ve got a split society with two diametrically opposed views of the world for which there is no compromise or reconciliation possible. Things will go in the direction that human nature and history have shown us before.
Liberals aren't only college-educated limousine liberals who self-righteously demonstrate for "zero-population growth" to "Save the Planet!"
They are also foodstamp-dependent, Obama-voting inner-city dwellers - and they give a hoot for restraint and/or contraception (though I will grant that their attitude towards pre-birth infanticide has had a powerful effect on that demographic).

Women who abort are less likely to carry to term, leading to miscarriage, stillbirth, and premature birth (with preemies having lower survival rates than full-term infants). Depending on how many abortions they've had, and how much damage caused to their reproductive organs each time, they may even end up sterile. This all leads to decreased birth rate among pro-abortion women, and thus, weeding out of the genetic components that predispose women to be pro-abortion.
At the population level, abortion is shaping our evolution--but not in the way that liberals fantasize about.
