The reason they are nurses is apparently they can’t do arithmetic.

Quintupling the budget of the largest state in the Union is really beyond mind boggling and into the realm of stupefying insanity.

As much I would love to see California implode the problem is the liberals who vote for this nonsense move to other states and infect their new homes with the same disease that killed California. It’s happening here in Idaho and it is damned frustrating.

The California legislature passed single payer several times in the 2002-2005 period. They did it knowing that the Governator would veto it. The danger here is that the dems now have a 2/3 majority in both houses.

Though that 14th Democrat no vote would torpedo it if it lasts.

How will they pay for it?

I’m sure all the Hollywood celebs will sell their mansions and 10 of their cars and donate the money to the health care fund./s

And the state in return will tax business. Business hate that.

Guaranteed to achieve State bankruptcy!

Apparently the elites in the CA Senate and Assembly only care about their income and not about the effect of their ridiculous laws on the little people.

This is how United States should perform. Individual laboratories. Let them experiment. But hold them responsible for outcomes.

They are about to prove that free government funded and managed Health Care Insurance means higher costs and reduced quality.

A Senate committee analysis released last week, however, estimated that the state would have to raise $200 billion in revenue each year, which it said could be done through a 15 percent payroll tax.

Well, WHO pays the payroll tax? Isn’t that just a combination of businesses and their workers? Wouldn’t they net effect mean that both are paying more than they used to pay?

Looks like California is about to price itself out of prosperity.

CA will increase the state income tax rate to 50%.

Then they will fold like a cheap suit.

“...There are entire subdivision cities without the ability to provide water at any price and they don’t do the simple maintenance on their reservoirs and the water system is now going to really collapse. ...”

Which cities? I’m thinking of Oroville & the broken dam spillway...

>It will allow businesses to jettison the healthcare responsibility to the state.

It was never the ‘responsibility’ of biz to begin.

Let’s see how long the land of fruits/nuts take to figure what Mass/VT already have...I bet too long to recover, 2x on a successful ‘ask’ of a taxpayer bail-out (thanks to the (R)).

There will be no health care to pay for in California because there will be no healthcare providers.

Doctors, nurses and health care providers will all flee to places where they are in demand (everywhere) and well paid.

Two different instances. The first, a new town area my brother was telling me about east of the Bay area where he lives and the second is the Oroville damn.

I have relatives and friends in that Land of Oz. I have spent some time there for both business and pleasure. There are some wonderful people there. But it is all make believe and cannot survive as the facade it has become.
