Aw, man! Too bad about your camera! Bad kitty! Probably expensive to repair!

We still have clouds but they are circling us...and again we’ll be the hole in the donut! *sigh*

It is frustrating! I hope your forecast proves to be more accurate than ours has been!

Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...did you and Penny get to walk today?

Your knees feeling better?

Mine are screaming still from having to go down the same 4 flights of stairs at work yesterday....2 alarms in a row.

It sure would be nice if it didn’t cost both arms and both legs for 24-hour home care for her. She’s getting to be a handful now, isn’t she? And it doesn’t help that someone keeps pulling that alarm at work! At least you get to take the elevator back up. Your knees would be soooooooo sore if you had to walk back up. A nice, hot soak sounds in order for sure.

No rain here the past couple of days but there have been brief showers close by a few times. There are small chances for it the next few days so maybe one will hit us.

Dang! You’re warmer than we are by almost 10 degrees. We dropped into the 60s not too long after sunset this evening.
Just took a peek at the cams and it’s shocking to see how bright it is up there right now. Not nearly as bright here at the same time of evening.

Awesome that another has hatched.

One of the Montana GHO owlets came home for a visit and seems to want to snooza a bit since it’s windy on the branches. :)

Yeah, I’m really upset about the camera. I’d just set it on the desk after taking some pix and walked into the kitchen. Not a minute later I heard the “thud” as it hit the floor and knew what it was. I don’t know which cat had been up there because it was already gone by the time I came back into this room.
It would cost more to repair than to buy a new one, most likely. I didn’t pay all that much for that one since it was on sale. I hope to be able to get another of the same model because I REALLY like it but I’m waiting until after my eye surgery. That’s more important and I want to be sure the funds are there for my part of the costs.

I don’t put much into our forecasts these days. The new weather people who were recently hired are all over the map with their forecasts. We just watch the radar online and hope to see something heading our way. LOL

Sunrise....4:33a
Sunset....11:20p

My sister is coming on Wednesday. She always wants the full experience. She will have the day shift for sure. Suzye is having shoulder surgery on Wednesday. She’s hoping to be back the 14th....we will see. My Mom met the sub, 6/7 only, today and was ok with her.

I had to go to the forum to find out what was happening on that nest because the cam is down again. GRRRRR! There were some pix posted of the 2nd lil storklet that hatched yesterday.

But the Orhalom cam is back up and that’s a plus. Their babies have grown a lot while that cam was down.

Seems to be windy everywhere, here and overseas. Smart lil GHO owlet to nap on the nest where it can relax.

Since I got my smartphone, I haven’t bought another camera. it has awesome resolution and I can edit and post it so quick and easy. But...not everyone likes ‘em. I get that. It’s just when I had a camera I’d put off uploading pictures because it was a pain with the cords and the media cards, etc.

I’m lazy. What can i say! :)

YAY!!!!! At least you’ll have some extra help with her there. I hope Suzye will be able to work that soon. That kind of work isn’t easy on shoulders.

Y’all must be on about the same latitude as Poland. The sun rises at the same time, though I’m usually asleep when it sets over there. I watch a stork nest (have it up now) and the sun came up at 4:30 this morning.

LOL! I’m one of those you mentioned who has no desire for a cell phone at all.

I don’t mind the time it takes to load ‘em into the computer since it doesn’t take long.
I really miss that Nikon. I loved the zoom it had. That’s what I used to take pix of the moon that I’ve posted in the past.

I hope to have something comparable by August to get pix of the eclipse ... and pray it isn’t cloudy that day!

It was cloudy here all afternoon but no rain. It kept the temps comfy though. It’s supposed to be around 90 Sat. and I’d thought about taking Baby to a car show close by. Re-thinking that idea now because it’ll be a misery sitting out there on hot pavement with no shade.

Nikon’s are awesome cameras. [I knew you were one of those! LOL!] They aren’t cheap but worth it when you can get awesome pictures like you did of the moon!

My son warned me not to come to WY in August because Jackson Hole is “ground zero” for the eclipse and thousands of people are supposed to be there. Woudn’t it be a shame if it were cloudy that night? People that don’t care to see it are leaving town and renting their homes out for the time of the event. They are going to make some big bucks from that, clouds or not! LOL!
