Wow! 70s? That’s a huge drop and it’s gotta feel wunnerful after dealing with 100.

Not quite as cool here but still comfy enough. Just a bit humid.

Yikes on your ex having prowlers in her neighborhood. Good thing to help her out with the security lighting. Don’t need anyone messing with her!

We’re a bit down right now after losing one of our kittehs to kidney cancer yesterday. Had no clue she was even sick until she had a weird spell over the weekend. Up to that point, she seemed just fine.
All the others are doing great though. Kittens are getting rowdier by the day. LOL

Well dang the luck. I hoped you’d gotten a little more rain but you got a decent amount as it was. And cooler temps, and that counts for a lot!

We have rain in our forecast, too, but so far it’s missed our area. We’ll see if we get any tomorrow or not.

The babies ARE getting cuter by the day. I’ve tried to get some new pix but they are NOT cooperative. They are major wiggle worms.

Taking pictures of kittens is like catching the wind. Maybe you need to do videos like you do of lightning and the grab scaps. :)

There are major rain clouds southwest of us, but who knows if they’ll make it to our town. Sometimes they just evaporate. We do have a bit higher humidity so that’s helpful in itself.

Hope you get some more rain..but no bad storms!

Yes, she was an older cat .... 12 or 13. We figured she was between 1 - 2 when she showed up 11 years ago. The vet and I honestly didn’t think she’d survive, she was in such horrible shape when she arrived but she thrived.
Even after her collapse Sat. evening she didn’t seem to feel bad. Her appetite was normal and all so she must not have been too uncomfortable. That’s the good thing.
But we miss our Weebs. She was a funny little cat.

I’d do videos of the kittens if that great camera I got last year still worked. One of the cats knocked it off my desk a few weeks ago and it’s kaput. GRRRRRRR!! The little Canon is ok for snapshots but doesn’t work nearly as well with videos. It’s a cheapie camera.

Sounds like you have the same problem with rain fizzling out like we do. There was a line of nice rain NW of us this afternoon and it fizzled out right before it got here. Frustrating, isn’t it?

Just saw the 10:00 forecast and we might get a shower or two tomorrow. More rain chances in the forecast next week but no stormy weather mentioned.

Well, you've been getting some rain; how do the crops look?

Is it Corn this year?

We’ve gotten some GOOD rain this year and the corn is gorgeous. Over waist-high now and the prettiest dark green. It’ll be over our heads in no time and that’s what we like. Can’t see the house from the road so it’s nice and private for a while.

If we keep getting decent rainfall through the summer, the yield should be fantastic.

We have a saying out here in the west; "If the corn is knee high by the 4th of July, it'll be a good crop year."

Looks like you're way ahead there!

He was able to plant a little earlier than usual this year since it was warm so early. Just gotta keep getting decent rainfall. We’ve had some good starts in the past only to have the spigot shut off in late June or so and everything fizzled.

I didn’t let the birds distract me tonight. LOL!
Now I’m checking in on all of them. We have a second hatch on the Dejtar nest. YAY!

Howdy....we are managing. Every night it takes 30 to 45 minutes to establish the rules for her getting up at night...

1...Push the call button and I will be there.
2...Do NOT stand until I get there.

But I am going to have to stay with her the whole time because she can’t remember not to get up without someone in the room with her. *sigh*

Then yesterday the alarm went off at work....walk down 4 flights of stairs. Come up in elevator, start back to my cubby and the alarm goes off again. Walk down the same 4 flights of stairs AGAIN!! My knees are really sore still today. I may have to soak tonight after I get Mom to bed.

Any rain for you? It was 74 today and 72 right now. Too hot!
