A 16-year-old girl has been arrested and accused in the hacking to death murder of a gentle and kind Uber driver just after Memorial Day. The Lincolnwood Police Department says that Eliza Wasni was arrested on May 30 and will appear in court on May 31 in Skokie. On the night of May 29, Grant Nelsons family say he had finished dinner and was going out to make some extra money as an Uber driver. In the early hours of May 30, Nelson was found stabbed inside his car in Lincolnwood. He was rushed to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, where he was pronounced dead. Nelson was 34 years old.
1. Authorities Say Wasni Was Found With 2 Weapons Believed to Have Been Used in Nelsons Murder
In a press release, the Lincolnwood Police Department said that when officers found Nelson, at 3:22 a.m. on May 30, he identified his passenger as his assailant. Authorities arrested Wasni close to where Nelson was found. She was in possession of two weapons, one of which was a machete, that cops think were used to kill Nelson. Cops were dispatched to the area after a resident reported hearing a man screaming for help.

Maybe I'm too much of a coward to drive for Uber, but when I saw the girl with the machete, I would probably drive by and not pick her up.
16 year old girl able to stay out on the street until all hours.
That’ll lead to something good...

Will feminism keep her out of jail?
Que the PMS defense, stat!
Somebody raised a demon instead of a daughter.................
Sounds like the victim was a good decent man, and was ambushed. She’s 16. If I was the relative I would tell the court I forgave her, and that I hoped on her 18th birthday she would get released.
I would arrange a fascinating reception to be waiting for her.
She needs to be treated as anyone else would be: tried and convicted of murder, then executed. No mercy for someone like this.
One .45 to the forehead.
You know she’s going to claim all kinds of feminist excuses: He stared at her, she was afraid of him, he was going to rape her, she had pms. “Racist” is probably not in the mix, but she might even pull that.
And. you can be sure, she was “just turning her life around.”
my kids are 15 and 17 , the older, the boy is the nicest sweetheart you could ever hope for, always nice, always helping people, daughter is hell on wheels, mean, nasty, loud, disrespectful... I am not aware of how or if they were raised any different, same parents, same home, same life... but so, very, different.
Driving a cab is one of the most dangerous occupations because the driver has his back to his passenger. Cab drivers (in my state anyway) don’t wear seatbelts because seatbelts can be used to control and trap the driver. Cabs also have radio or computer dispatch, a dispatcher trained to handle emergencies, and other cabs that can respond for a call for help (tire-iron enabled).
Uber drivers have to wear seatbelts since it’s a private vehicle, subjecting themselves to entrapment. They have no radio dispatch or any way to alert other drivers to come to their assistance. They’re on their own if they break down or get PurgePeople in their car.
Given a choice, why would anyone drive Uber a few hours each night instead of a single long shift driving a cab once a week?
She’s guilty
And so will you be

Plenty of times 16-year old black kids have been charged as adults for heinous crimes. This horrible POS better get charged as an adult, too.
No special treatment!

In the 70’s I pushed a hack in NYC and San Francisco. The owner-drivers had German Shepherds in the front seat with them at all times, no passenger got to ride in the front. We all had bullet-proof police barricades and automatic back door locks between the front and back seats. This kind of insanity did not happen.
