fellow USAA account holders....

<>USAA is a member-owned cooperative.....YOUR VOTE COUNTS.

<>Time to start rolling heads off of the USAA Board.

<>Why are these honchos spending big $$ to expand their advertising reach beyond the military base?

Agreed. USAA is a privately held membership. It's time for a regime change. I want board members in place who understand and return to the implied intent of USAA- provide value based insurance and financial services to member of the US Armed Forces. Broad based advertising to the general public using color identity markers is wasting our membership dollars, as is all of the "corporate responsibility" feel good programs that the board is spending money and energy on.

The best advertising USAA has is word of mouth within the military, and now that is in the toilet thanks to corporate social engineering.

They are a good company. I have their insurance and most of the training materials they sell.

I just sent Tim Schmidt an email telling him that if it is true they are dumping Hannity, then I am out of USAA..

Hope it's fake news.......

Absolutely, which is why I vote only for board members that have served in uniform.

Nobody’s going to boycott a bank that gives them better deals than they can get anywhere else.

Banks are more highly leveraged and this vulnerable to a boycott than retail stores like Target or food processors like Kellogg. Especially when the bank is marketing to a niche market like the military, veterans, and their families. Their deposit base draws mostly from consumer deposits and their loans are mostly consumer based: auto loans and credit cards. If even 20 per cent of their depositors withdrew their funds, USAA would have a serious liquidity issue and would be forced to sell off their liquid assets and borrow at the Fed or money center banks.

USAA isn’t a normal bank and these tactics won’t work on it.

If the tactics don’t work, it would be on account of the loyalty of the customer base. If all the hostile tweets and posts are just people blowing off steam and are not really representative of the customer base, USAA will be safe, at least for now.

OK, so if the idea is to send a message to the board of directors by organizing opposition - who will be the opposition members of the board? Someone has to run in opposition to the policy and the word needs to get out to a lot of USAA members in order to do anything.

Does anyone know when the annual meeting is?

If someone could organize this, it might be a better idea than cancelling policies.

Better deals? Vanguard/Fidelity/Schwab will give a higher return on investments. Most any insurance broker will give you a better price on auto/home/life.

USAA excels on customer service IMHO but they suck on deals.

USAA has farmed out the coverage of RV trailers to Progressive.

USAA has hired a third-party to confirm data on the vehicle and residence. What in the world are the employees doing?

Time to roll heads at USAA.

I have been a member of USAA for over 50 years and suddenly and abruptly USAA cancelled my automobile policies. The reason given was my 45-year-old son’s driving record and the fact that he lives in my home. So much for loyalty!

What really bothers me is the lack of due diligence or just plain laziness on the part of USAA staff. When I finally received a written copy of my son’s driving record I noticed that he was not involved in two of the incidents (both accidents) cited. Since USAA paid claims on both these incidents they surely had records positively identifying the actual driver (my grandson). Further two of the incidents were “fender benders” which did not include a police report but were included in the USAA report because USAA paid a claim.

I can only conclude that USAA does not have a policy of accident forgiveness.
I have insured with a different company – same coverage with lower rates.
