>>One bite of a mushroom destroyed this woman’s life for quite a few years.

Sad but common story. Thanks for sharing.

Being part of the “Dazed and Confused” generation of the 70’s - I’ve seen enough of my peers lives destroyed by “wisdom” that evidently grew out of cow pies by those who came before us.

Multiple generations of fail + the recreational “experiment” unleashed upon Colorado = a whole new crop of Useful Idiots.

>>My recruiter looked me in the eye and said, “Just remember, ‘no’ means Navy Opportunities!”

So in other words you lied.

FAIL.

No, I never tried or will try LSD. :)

Chronic marijuana usage has been associated with mental illness, and marijuana contains 50-70 percent more cancer-causing substances than tobacco smoke; marijuana users are likely to use heroin or other more potent substances.

Like alcohol, no one knows who will become an addict. I’ve witnessed the ramifications of marijuana-induced mental illness and as an entryway to more potent illegal substances. Pot has caused the ruination of many a family. If only they had said “NO” to drugs.

ESAD is a double entent for which the lesser known meaning is - if you do, you WILL.

Bon appetite, liar.

Too easy to get burned out of $5, $10, $20 or more on a tiny piece of paper.

Owlsey!

Never touched the stuff but been around plenty who did.

Practically no way to avoid them if you went to school or concerts back in the day.

False. 44% of Americans have used marijuana, but only 9.2% have in the past year used any other illicit drug (and almost all of them were misusing prescription drugs).

I wonder how a pothead defender would react to an alcoholic defending whiskey with the same verve.

Ooh, I must've touched a nerve! Did I trigger you? Sounds like you need your safe space.

Here's what you can do: Go write your congressman, princess. Tell him you're concerned that a poster on Free Republic might have embellished the truth regarding his college drug use in order to enlist in the Navy following 9/11.

Will you do that, princess? It might make you feel better.

Here in Colorado it's quite educational to observe the milk and whiskey drinking alcoholics and the pot heads defending each other... as they munch on their apples whilst sleeping in the beds of the farmhouse... WIF SHEETS!

Oligarchic Codependency is so awesome!

Do flashbacks create safe spaces for those in the work environment you LIED to get a job in?

If you think quoting statistics is "verve" I'd hate to see you when you were feeling lethargic.

To address your scenario: If false statements are made about alcohol, pot, or any other drug, they should be corrected; truth matters.

I’m not knowledgeable about mushrooms, but does the declared low mushroom risk include the risk of getting the wrong type of mushroom?

Never had a flashback.

Lots of people lied to get out of the military. Others lied to get in. I know where I stand.

Happy Memorial Day princess.

No, no, no. We’re supposed to believe the anecdotes about the guy who thought he could fly and jumped off a bridge, or the guy who has thought he was an orange for the last 3 decades, rather than actual personal experiences.

As I said, no one knows if they will become an addict. The risks outweigh the use.

“Legalizing ACID has a better chance at filling government and pharmaceutical coffers.”

Sure, because a chemical that can be cooked up for pennies in a few hours (and is only used by a fraction of the people that use marijuana) is going to make more money than a plant that requires labor, fertilizer, water, electricity, and months to grow.

You said more than that.

The risks outweigh the use.

I'm not advocating that anyone use any drug, legal or illegal.
