Michael Barone was one of the worst Trump bashers during the election campaign.
Which he is.
His commentary has been concerned with the topic of immigration. Perhaps partly as a result of being a descendant of Italian immigrants, Barone takes an optimistic view of contemporary immigration into the US. He says that Hispanic immigration has parallels to the Italian experience and that, given the right circumstances, current and future Hispanic and other immigrants can become Americanized and assimilated, just as the Italians were.
Above bio is from Wikipedia.
Barone (hippie in disguise) has the meatballs to compare middle-finger-wagging border jumpers on the U.S. taxpayer-funded gravy train for generations, to law-abiding Italian immigrants who came here legally and fought for this country in two world wars. Barone's nothing but an ungrateful brat, an insulting snot-nosed spoiled socialist weasel.
Born in Highland Park, Michigan, he is the son of Alice Katherine Barone and Charles Gerald Barone who was an MD, a surgeon. His mother was of Irish descent and his father of Italian descent. While at Yale Law School, he was an editor of the Yale Law Journal. He has been conservative as an adult but worked as an intern for Jerome Cavanagh, the Democratic mayor of Detroit.
Michael was a supporter of George McGovern in 1972. Barone has said he is not a religious believer, although he is sympathetic to and respectful of socially conservative believers. Barone married Joan Shorenstein in 1975 but she died in 1985 at the age of 38 after a 10 year long battle with cancer. They had one child, a daughter named Sarah Barone, together.
Does every man who is single have to be Gay? Perhaps his wife was his true love and he did not want to replace her?
See post 16—from the movie “The Graduate” (1967).
A newly minted college grad is given one word of advice from an older gentleman at his graduation party “Plastics” as what young Dustin Hoffman should pursue as it was the future.
Since then, it has become a meme and a joke, as the day of plastics is long gone.
Evidently my answer pissed someone off, as the mod removed the post.
Except for posts of mine that I have asked to be removed after further reflection, this was the first one removed by the mod in over 18 years of being here.
Well that’s funny because my business is Plastic packaging. LOL we make plastic drums for food and chemical companies. I will have to check out “The Graduate”. Thank you for explaining.
I read (probably here!) that he was gay.
He’s still snide.
