Admiral Admits Political Pressure Caused Him To Convict Navy SEAL Accused Of Rape
The DAILY CALLER ^ | 05/19/2017 | Jonah Bennett

“Absent the pressures described [in my affidavit], I would have disapproved the findings in this case,” Lorge wrote in his affidavit.

For Lorge, the pressure came from President Barack Obama’s White House and also the Senate.

“At the time, the political climate regarding sexual assault in the military was such that a decision to disapprove the findings, regardless of merit, would bring hate and discontent on the Navy from the President, as well as senators including Senator Kirstin Gillibrand,” Lorge wrote in his affidavit.

Lorge believes that based on his conversations with senior officials in the Navy, he was essentially told that “if you disapprove the findings, it will ruin your career.”

What a stinking coward! Throwing one of his men under the bus so he'd keep the feminists happy. He should be thrown in jail for what he did to that man. The whole bunch of them should. Is this what Annapolis turns out these days?

I think the Trial should be overturned and the Seal Exonerated, period. What a coward that admiral is. What a stinking coward!

Military Justice is to justice what military music is to music.

Rear Admiral Patrick Lorge, a native of Turnersville, New Jersey, graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1981. He completed flight training in April 1983. (I’d wager the ring-knocker began kissing arse a month later.)

Apparently, the paycheck and retirement benefits win over integrity, honesty and truth. How pathetic!

If he had any honor he wouldn’t have let a right decision ruin his career. POS coward.

It is called “undue command influence” and is a crime for both those attempting it and those succumbing to it.

An officer is expected to be willing to die, if necessary for the good of the country. Throwing one of your men to the wolves, not just ANY man, but a SEAL who likely had engaged in high-risk missions, and do it just for the sake of a career, is especially heinous.

Information like this coming out gives the SEAL excellent grounds to appeal. His career is over maybe his good name will be restored.

Perhaps extortion, but very likely unlawful command influence and serious grounds for appeal.

K.G. is the new Pat Schroeder - ignorant of things military and exerting too much power over it.

This little jerk deserves to get busted back to ensign. I’ve seen his type throughout the military - academy grad, politicked for one career-enhancing assignment after another, toadying up to the brass, and turned so blind to ethical conduct that he ends up like the frog being slowly boiled.

No surprise so many of them wind up at the top to perpetuate the system

Calling Michael Flynn...
