Maybe this has to do with the Security Risk ‘Chelsea’ will remain for the rest of his life. Is idea that enemies of the United States (both foreign and domestic) would want to kidnap or straight out hire someone like Chelsea to provide inside info? That is the only explanation I come up with.

I would have been happy to see his leave cancelled as part of his sentence. I don't know if that was in the purview of the judge or if the Army can do it administratively. But either way, I'm not going to lose sleep over Bradley burning unused leave.
