Trump can't win the press
washingtonexaminer.com ^ | Eddie Scarry

Posted on 05/14/2017 6:47:21 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

The mania over James Comey's firing would carry more weight if the press didn't behave this way every time President Trump signed an order, wrote a tweet or flushed a toilet.

Political commentators, news organizations and lawmakers on both sides had been calling for Comey's ousting for months for his bizarre, inconstant approach in conducting the sensitive investigations into Hillary Clinton's emails and then Trump's election campaign.

But now that he's gone, the media act like America just lost its favorite uncle.

Everyone is now used to the simple fact that no matter what he does, Trump cannot win the press. And that's why no one should look to it for an indication of whether he's doing anything right.

Depending on what mood the Washington media wake up in on any given day, Trump is either dumb and expected to screw up (i.e. Charles Blow wittily referring to Trump in every column as "president" in quotes) or it's, Hey, why isn't he doing everything like a normal president? Constitutional crisis!

The president's version of events is that he felt Comey was no longer up to the job and that he asked the Justice Department to make a case for his firing.

That's inconsistent with the original White House story that the president made his decision based solely on the recommendation of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.

The media have seized this point with a vice grip as if it proves something.

The war that the leftwing press is waging against Trump energizes his base like nothing else.

I would be more worried if the press started being nice.

I would be more worried if the press started being nice.

My advanced mathematical model designed to calculated odds of certain events occurring indicate that the odds of that happening are "slim" and "none."

Absolutely right! It’s why I no longer watch the news except for Tucker Carlson & a hour of Lou Dobbs.

And I’m sure the president is aware he can’t win. Doesn’t stop him from zinging them, though!

Muh Russia! Trump is guilty!

Still every day, like Geraldo Rivera, these “reporters” open the vault to show us their proof, and their vault of facts is ...EMPTY

Thanks to: Steven Tyler for the above!

A recent observation by Rush Limbaugh re vicious fake news/propaganda to force Trump out of office!

“As you read, or any time you see “anonymous source said,” you must disbelieve it. The evidence is much greater and much of this is made up than that it is legitimate and real. You must remember that media isn’t media. You are not reading “the news.” You are being inculcated. You’re being propagandized. You are being misinformed for the purposes of advancing a narrative and agenda, which is to force Donald Trump out of office. The news about this investigation today is wonderful.”

When I had a TV, I watched mostly local news for weather and situational awareness. After President Trump’s election I decided I could no longer stomach the news, so I cancelled my entire cable package.

As business models go, theirs sucks.

The elite lying mediots, who control BBC, ABCNNBCBS, Faux, the NY Slimes, WSJ, Compost, and LaRaza Slimes fail to realize: President Trump does not need them to speak to his 62+ million voters/us.

He Tweets us, sends his contributors emails and controls the White House digital system. He bypasses the left wing mediots, when he communicates directly with us.

Again, neither President Trump, nor his 62+ million voters need nor do we want BBC, ABCNNBCBS, Faux, the Ny/LA Slime, WSJ, Compost, and LaRaza Times trying to tell us what our president is telling us. We know without their twisting and word games.

We don’t need the “old gotcha” press conferences. With the whining and lying liberal mediots attacking our president. We are tired of the mediots lying and telling us what to believe and how to vote! Ban them from the White House. Trump’s comments and statements are for his voters. We don’t need lying liberal mediots to tell us what he says to us. There is zero filtering, adjusting and lying to us when Trump talks to us directly!

Official Washington is being traumatized by the tweets of Donald Trump.

Trump speaking directly to the people via Twitter or the Whitehouse.com is causing a crisis among mediots, politicians, Never Trumpsters and lobbyists. They just don't know how to handle “Trump’s Twitter feed which traumatizes Washington and his enemies.

We live in the new era of a still evolving social media which is supplanting the centralized syndicate ‘news’ media.

The President does not need to waste time with the old media as he wins the new media.

He has to help the old media kill itself off. And he does it everyday by feeding them just enough rope to hang themselves.

Recent observation? Rush is 4 and a half months behind. I listened to Levin the day prior to inauguration and he warned the President to look out because they will look for anything and create controversy to impeach him.

Rush started his current stance right about or after the election. This remark came from him on 11 May 2017

If This Politico Story Is True, the President Needs New Advisers

If This Politico Story Is True, the President Needs New Advisers

May 11, 2017

RUSH: The Politico today… By the way, you need to be reading all of these and watching all these stories with more doubt and disbelief than you have ever mustered.

As you read, or any time you see “anonymous source said,” you must disbelieve it. The evidence is much greater and much of this is made up than that it is legitimate and real. Since Trump didn’t attend the Press lovelfest the other week, I think he should cancel a few of the daily press briefings. First, to give his own spokespeople a break from the vitriol and second, to let the rude, prima donnas stew for awhile.

CNN running headlines , and attacking him for having two scoops of ice cream shows how pathetic the MSM has become.

Its like we don't even have a press anymore
Just a virulent propaganda machine of the left
They have descended beyond absurdity complaining about ice cream scoops and height discrepancies on a drivers
s license and featuring near-daily sound bites by the pitiful boob Maxine Waters

Featuring James Comey and family as Mothers Day poster children,

They forgot to slug this picture “This is the man that cost Hillary Clinton the Election”

...and Russia of course

Was Comey helping Russia? Fits their wild narrative

These people have obviously never had to fire someone. Here is how it works: President Trump knew he was going to have to get rid of Comey but wanted to wait until a more advantageous time. His doubts about the man grew during Comeys testimony so he asked DOJ for an opinion. When that was given it was the nail in the coffin and the decision was made.

Come on people I know you journalists live in a coddled environment but picking this apart and bending words just makes you look unbelievably stupid to those of us who live in the real world.

Pretty sure he understands the futility of accommodating the enemedia, and is declining to make the effort.

Good for him.

Pointing out the press bias and exposing their agenda makes Trumps popularity numbers increase.

I predict he hosts a press briefing himself soon,
he likes it, and he’s good at it.
