DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. Students booed, and many turned their backs on Education Secretary Betsy DeVos as she gave the keynote address at Bethune-Cookman Universitys commencement Wednesday afternoon.
Many students and alumni had objected to having DeVos as speaker in part because they said the outreach by President Trump and the education secretary to historically black schools is an empty gesture. But the president of the university defended her work as a philanthropist and her commitment to education.
Graduates came into the auditorium smiling, many with flowers and other decorations plastered on their mortar boards, and listened to the ceremony politely, until university President Edison Jackson introduced Omarosa Manigault, an adviser to Trump. Students started booing. Jackson stopped, and said: You dont know her. You dont know her story.

Racism is alive and well at this college.
The alumni objected to her huh..?
well, let me tell you something about the alumni to historically black colleges:
they don’t give anything at all to their Alma maters, never. Like tipping.
it’s wealthy Jewish people who support those colleges and some some credulous honkeys looking for imagined exoneration thrown into the mix.
This surprises whom?.....................
Ignorant racists heading for their DEM Masterse Plantations...
An excellent demonstration to the world that these “graduates” have no manners and no class.
Great. Yet another college to cross off of my interview sheet.
The Left has indoctrinated these students to engage in an exercise of rude behavior. I’m surprised it didn’t go further with a “mooning” of the honorable Betsy DeVos.
With this Leftist attack on America, they are teaching disrespect for law and order. This will have reactionary effects that will make us a more closed society.
At this remedial high school.
She’s white; why wouldn’t they?
This is why we can’t have nice things.
Another stereotype reinforced...again.
And this uncivil behavior will improve our society how?
I, a white man, will now have more respect for black graduates of Bethune-Cookman?
And my FRiends, neighbors and fellow Americans will likewise?
I THINK NOT!
The spotlight of truth is shining right on their racism, and the picture painted is not a pretty one!
Wake up, black Americans! Give up your racist ways! You have all to gain and nothing to lose!
[Full disclosure: I am not a racist, but I am sorely tempted to reconsider my position in the matter!
I spent 28 1/2 years, man and boy, in the US Navy and Naval Reserve living my Oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”
I first took that Oath in March, 1963, and I have lived by it ever since. The kind of racist behavior we are experiencing in America IS NOT WHAT I SACRIFICED TO PROTECT!
IT MUST STOP!]
Bump #13
Never heard of it.
historically black schools
Oh ... I see. Third rate institution that promotes racism.
Rude, privileged ba$$turds
What are the odds they actually know who she is? They were probably told to boo ahead of time.
These kids think it’s bad to have whitie give the commencement speech they’ll be crying later on this year when they fill out job applications and interviews citing a degree in African Studies as their qualification for the job.
Slimescum.
They should be required to take an etiquette course.
