also remember sending two ballots to French people living outside France, who it was believed would not vote for Le Pen & even said they wouldn’t do anything about it until after the election.

now we have -

5 May - Reuters: Le Pen’s party complains over reported torn election information packages
“Several citizens received the electoral information and the two ballot papers of the candidates for the presidential election. That of our candidate was systematically torn and that of our opponent, Mr. Macron was intact,” David Rachline, Le Pen’s campaign director, said in a statement.
Rachline named seven administrative districts in which irregularities has been reported.

Rachline added that some mayors had written to constituents with voting instructions using official stationary, which was also against the electoral code....
The electoral commission said in a statement it had asked the interior ministry to ensure the incidents if true should not impact the outcome of the vote....

it’s a bad joke.

Truly. I can’t stand hearing it. What the hell constitutes “far right” anymore? A belief in nationalism? Wanting to have safe borders and vigorously vent who comes into your country? Wanting to protect your democracy against an Islamic-sharia takeover? The media throws out that “far right” label like it’s some dirty, nasty piece of filth phrase. They all parrot the same pablum from one network, one paper, magazine, blog to another. They truly are the enemy of the people.

Like others posting here, I too do not think she will win, and will hopefully continue to soldier on. The people will continue to suffer, the radicals will continue to flourish. There will be more terror attacks, the economy will worsen, and then maybe next time, assuming they’ve has enough, the country will move to the “far right.”

Polls don’t predict. People think they do. Big mistake.
Polls register the EMOTION of the moment. Emotions pass. Reason sometimes prevails, but mostly not.

There’s two reasons le Pen is not Hitler. First, she would cut back immigration but there is no “final solution” in the picture. Second, she isn’t going to rebuild the French military in order to conquer Europe. If the only two choices are national socialism and global socialism, the former is less likely to become pure evil; it’s only happened once.

Le Pen wants to nationalize entire industries like banking for example. That’s pretty commie.

Le Pen supports economic nationalism, the separation of investment and retail banking, and energy diversification, and is opposed to the privatization of public services and social security.

Can you provide a specific quote by Le Pen that says she wants to nationalize all the banks? Her opponents come up with this meme to discredit her. We do know that French and European banks refused to give her loans to finance her campaign. “There are certain candidates who have a lower guarantee than Marine le Pen, but have obtained bank loans — this poses a real problem of discrimination founded on political opinion.”

It is rich that you seize on the alleged assertion that Le Pen wants to nationalize the banks as proof that she is a "commie" while we had the biggest (bipartisan) bail out of the banks in world history. We also bailed out foreign banks using taxpayer money. All of this under "conservative" Bush 43. His father bailed out the savings and loan banks. Is it better for the bankers to control the government or vice versa?

I believe the French government and other globalists are doing everything possible to rig the election for Macron.

With the latest E-Mail scandal Le Pen would probably win a fair election.

Agree with your analysis. The is election is far bigger than France; it is about the future of the EU. Vast amounts of money and power are involved. Across all of Europe the governments make no secret about supporting Macron and characterize Le Pen as "far right," which is the euphemism for a Nazi. Obama endorsed Macron as well. I guess as long as Western governments and leaders interfere in the French elections, it is OK. Russia is another story.

I lived a total of 14 years in Europe in five different countries. The tactic of calling your opponent "far right" is just code for being a neo-Nazi. It is how Merkel is dealing with her opposition. The same was done in the UK to marginalize UKIP and BNP. Here the Dems use the same tactics. Le Pen is not a Nazi nor are the majority of her views outside the mainstream.

Le Pen will lose this time, but France is becoming more polarized and divided. The nationalists will continue to gain strength in numbers and intensity. The globalists can't paper over reality. Whom do you believe, the globalist politicians or your lyin' eyes?

I would say the same thing applies here. Two thirds of the federal budget goes to the entitlement programs. Crony capitalism is alive and well as government at all levels controls about 40% of our GDP.

Ours were within the margin of error and the election was completely different than anything we have ever seen.

While I do believe they pumped the numbers, I don’t think they did it nearly enough to influence the election.

It would have also been fine if they had just given Trump the chance that they have given all other candidates for President.

“Looks to be a Trump like panic in the French MSM.”

I predict a Trump-like outcome in the French election. If asked, your average French voter would never admit to supporting the “far right” candidate.

Behind the election curtain, they will vote Le Pen.
