The woman stayed in the hotel room in Halle with her companion in June 2010. She asked judges to force the hotel to fully name her lover who she knew only as Michael. The hotel had earlier refused to identify the man who was billed for the room or to supply his address.
***** Judges said the man has the right to control his own personal data, along with the right to protect his family and marriage, according to the statement. Those rights took precedence over her right to child maintenance payments, the court added.

Everyone’s to blame but her.
this world has gone far, far, far beyond insanity....so far that nothing surprises me anymore in its depravity, its ridiculousness, its preposterousness..
In the U.S., he would not have any right to privacy.
Of course. Didn’t read the full article, but I am betting she is proud of being a skank.
Didn’t read the article, but I wonder if her name is Hillary
So she got pregnant, but didn’t know his last name? As they were in a hotel, were they both out of town travelers? Does she have any idea where he lives? How is it that she slept with a stranger at a hotel in the first place?? She slept with him three nights? So she enjoyed it so much the first night she came back for more?
This is a bizarre story.
Corrected it.
You're welcome.
“Judges said the man has the right to control his own personal data, along with the right to protect his family and marriage, according to the statement. Those rights took precedence over her right to child maintenance payments”
Not in the US. The father has NO rights, and maintenance payments are considered an entitlement, enforced at the point of a gun (literally).
Not only did she not know his full name, she doesn’t even know what he looked like:
“Since the woman could not describe the man in detail”
“As they were in a hotel, were they both out of town travelers?”
According to an earlier story he was a paid “escort”.
Could she describe any part of him with any detail? Just asking, maybe she was most familiar with areas you don’t see in an ID photo............was the room always so dark she didn’t see anything????
Nasty all around.
Maybe she’s blind and couldn’t see his “distinguishing characteristic” .
“The father has NO rights, and maintenance payments are considered an entitlement, enforced at the point of a gun (literally).”
Parents should be responsible for their children.
I know a young gal who got herself in a family way on a short business trip to Colorado.
But the guy owned up to it and has been paying support from day one.
That would explain why the court decided as it did.
Exactly what would happen to judges if hotels could be required to identify prostitutes after the fact?
I would hope the hotel would have the decency to let the potential Michaels know of the situation in case the involved man would want to voluntarily step up & accept responsibility (after DNA paternity testing, of course).
I know that I would not want to, in essence, abandon a child I had fathered.
