A suburban Dallas police chief said Monday that his department inaccurately described why an officer fired at a moving vehicle over the weekend, killing a 15-year-old boy.

Jordan Edwards and four other teenagers were in a vehicle leaving a party in Balch Springs Saturday night when an officer shot at them with his rifle. Police initially said the vehicle was backing up toward police at the scene "in an aggressive manner."

I think the police were wearing body cams. There is apparently some sort of video of the incident.

In the Season 6 Finale of Blue Bloods, it was advocate NOT to realize the video immediately. I believe the title of that episode was Blow Back

There is video, but as in the Blue Bloods episode, such video should not be released immediately to the public. But it could be shown to the Texas state AG. If the police did wrong, then this needs to be corrected so that people will have faith in our police. But that also means due process in evaluating what happened and what to do.

Just another horrible tragedy.

This kid certainly doesn't seem to have been doing anything for which he deserved to get shot.

So why are police firing into the vehicle? If they were firing at the driver, apparently they didn't do a very good job at that.

Story #1—"they were backing right toward more police—has already been debunked, apparently, so it's time for story #2, I guess.

Just damn. May justice be served...

Is this the age of fragmented, incoherent news, or what?

Where is the old rule for, assigning who, what, when, where, why and how? Everything is by smoke signal now. Is this trend on purpose?

One big dark hole, so the affected interested groups have time to freak out, and call in their target to their compadres from the hood, in NYC, led by Reverend Al Sharpton.

Wonder if Al has booked his hotel suite already.

That is why there must be due process.

There was a shooting in Baton Rouge, LA, when Obama was still president, and Obama said a bunch of dumb things about that NOT KNOWING THE FACTS.

The facts I heard about that shooting was:

1. Suspect was 300 lbs with long criminal record.

2. Homeless person called police about suspect waving a gun (which is why police were called to the scene).

3. When two police officers were wrestling with this guy who is 300 pounds (or more) on the ground, the suspect went for his gun.

Yet our IDIOT president then (Obama) mouthed off about this as though the police were at fault, and then there were shootings that targeted police in Dallas and Baton Rouge (and maybe other places).

Any dead police/wounded police from these shootings were DIRECTLY the fault of OUR INCOMPETENT KENYAN PRESIDENT.

Barrack Obama is a real danger to comment on this.

He can do more damage than we want him to by him OPENING HIS MOUTH NOT KNOWING THE FACTS.

100% correct.

And Obama’s / BLM’s damage isn’t done yet. More riots coming this week when the officers involved aren’t indicted.

“inaccurately described”

So many new ways to say “blatantly lied”.

What sort of assh8le cop shoots at a moving car? Is he in the movies? The cops do NOT need immediacy. You will catch up with them later.

I believe the police officers involved in the shooting MAY HAVE FILED false police reports.

There should be charges that can be brought for this.

The police chief may have believed these police reports.

Additionally, it is revealed tonight that the officer involved in the shooting, Roy Oliver, served two tours with the US Army in Iraq.

That does not excuse his actions, but if he is brought to trial, it might be something to his benefit.

A question of his fitness for duty comes to mind if he had some sort of lingering problem from having served in Iraq.

It is not an excuse as I have stated, but he might need some sort of mental/medical help because he is an US Army veteran.

Maybe the MISMANAGED VA under Obama might have some sort of blame.

What a stupid president we had in Obama!
