You can bet that they will not be satisfied with this appeasement. This will only increase their appetite for more.
It's time to get tough--here are some ideas of what can be done--
(1) When there is a free speech event call out the national guard to protect people.
(2) Investigate Berkeley as to who told the cops to stand down--whoever did it-- mayor and/or police chief, charge them with aiding and abetting the rioters.
(3) pass a law that you cannot cover your face during a protest--anyone doing so should be assumed to be involved in illegal activiity.
(4) Declare the Antifa and black bloc extremist hate groups and terrorist groups--use RICOH laws against them and anyone funding them.
(5) No more catch and release--charge rioters with felony federal rioting charges.
Its time to do something about this. The left is destroying free speech. That cannot be allowed to happen.
Rioters should be shot, as is the age-old custom.
(6) Yank fed funding for Berzerkley.
We are watching a dying left lash out bigtime.

It is true that the Left sincerely opposes the 1st Amendment right to Free Speech. But I'd argue that the Left's behavior in Oregon is the result of their opposition to another 1st Amendment right -- the right to peaceably assemble.
you're right--the event sponsoirs acted just like the republican congress--total cave. BUT--Coulter could have gone anyway. She probably figured if conservatives won't stand up for free speech, then maybe they don't deserve to have it.
Very unfortunate. but like I said, there are things that could be done about it. Time for trump to get involved. Sending in the national guard and using the justice department would be good starts.
Well it is not a majority of folks though. Just a noisy minority.

They’re not dying fast enough. In fact, they seem to be winning more often than not these days (shutting down any conservative speakers, legislating from the bench, etc.).
Identify these individuals. Make “WANTED” posters.
They seem to control speech in this country. They can't be too dead if they can do that.
They are like tantruming two year olds-- they need to be told no by the adults, or things will only get worse.

And done what? Pick a lock and crash an auditorium?
You don't just "go" and speak. You have to have the room reserved, someone has to unlock the building, someone has to turn on the lights and a/c, etc.
The same thing was done ion the 70’s supposedly- the left got very violent with anyone that disagreed wit them
Jeff Sessions needs to investigate Antifa and the politicians and police departments who appease them. Regarding the cancellation of the Portland parade, I have seen no evidence thus far that authorities plan to file any charges against those who made the threats.
