“So all Hindus and Buddhist, that don’t “Know the Lord”, go to Hell? Really?”

Yep.

Take it up with Jesus. It is how He created this world.

That’s what Christianity teaches. All the Christians will be up in heaven eternally singing praises of the Lord, while the rest of us are in hell. Some seem to relish in the idea. Personally I can’t believe the creator of the universe is so obsessed with what we mere humans believe that he assigns an eternity of pain for those who don’t believe what other humans claim to be revealed truth. One reason I’m not a Christian. Still, I can’t complain that Christians believe what they believe. What I don’t get is people who claim to be Christian but can’t accept the basic tenants. And I can’t get mad at someone who wants to save me from what they believe is a horrible fate, as long as it’s only through persuasion.

John 3:17-18 KJV (for the thread)

Pretty clear what side one wants to be on. I didn’t write; just have read it. (again, for the thread)

Anyone who does not accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will go to hell.

All your good works are as filthy rags. You cannot work your way into salvation.

Those who believe that “good works” can atone for sin, do not understand how thoroughly corrupt human nature is and how utterly holy God is.

And more importantly, there is a failure to understand that the offended God, requires the shedding of blood (which is the life of the body) to cover sin.

In a nutshell, sin is much more serious to God than it is to us.

Glory to His name, however, He provided the world a perfect Lamb to take our judgment, purchase our pardon, and ascend triumphant to represent us before God.

I so hope this news about Erin is true and that she did in fact, receive forgiveness of sin and eternal life through the Lord Jesus Christ.

"That’s what Christianity teaches." Actually, no. Don't mistake a particular brand of Protestantism with Christianity in itself. Catechism of the Catholic Church: "Outside the Church there is no salvation" 846 How are we to understand this affirmation, often repeated by the Church Fathers? Re-formulated positively, it means that all salvation comes from Christ the Head through the Church which is his Body: Basing itself on Scripture and Tradition, the Council teaches that the Church, a pilgrim now on earth, is necessary for salvation: the one Christ is the mediator and the way of salvation; he is present to us in his body which is the Church. He himself explicitly asserted the necessity of faith and Baptism, and thereby affirmed at the same time the necessity of the Church which men enter through Baptism as through a door. Hence they could not be saved who, knowing that the Catholic Church was founded as necessary by God through Christ, would refuse either to enter it or to remain in it. 847 This affirmation is not aimed at those who, through no fault of their own, do not know Christ and his Church: Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience - those too may achieve eternal salvation. 848 "Although in ways known to himself God can lead those who, through no fault of their own, are ignorant of the Gospel, to that faith without which it is impossible to please him, the Church still has the obligation and also the sacred right to evangelize all men."

God so loved the world (Hindus and Buddhists too) that He gave His only Son, that whosoever would believe in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Hindus and Buddhists all needs do is believe in Jesus, the Son of God.

Praise the Lord. Good for her. She knows joy and happiness and peace and LOVE beyond anything she could ever experience here on earth. Praise God from whom all things come. Praise the Lord. What happy news. We are so blessed to have Christ's salvation. Nothing compares.

Nobody knows. None of us knows. If we KNEW, we would not need FAITH. We BELIEVE based upon our FAITH, not upon our knowledge.

“>>>So all Hindus and Buddhist, that don’t “Know the Lord”, go to Hell? Really?<<<

Really.

Absolute nonsense.

============================================================= They don't have to go to Hell, just trust in Jesus. Would God have died on a cross if it didn't matter what you believed?

That all roads lead to the same place is absolute nonsense.
