Do you only believe the happy and pleasant things God says, and ignore His warnings and what you consider unpleasant and unfair?

Do you mock Jesus’ atoning sacrifice that somehow people can earn their way to heaven without Jesus as their savior?

People work very hard to go to hell, as the wages of sin is death . . . The rest accept their salvation as a free gift from One that paid all He had to purchase it . . .

It is not “salvation by works” . . . It is damnation by works.

I don’t buy it nor do I buy looking for some good in people when they’re dead.

If that’s when you have to look for em it’s a little late.

She had the good life, blew it and ended up in the gutter broke and homeless... and chronic alcoholism can cause throat cancer... seems to be a cycle here.

Quite the opposite, I believe everyone is Judged on their merits, not that one religion is the only way.

Takes more than ‘Knowing the Lord’. Even the demons know God, and they shudder. You must believe in the Lord Jesus.

But take heart. Those that don’t get mercy at least get justice. Problem is, justice for sin is eternal damnation.

Well the once persecutor of early Christians the Apostle Paul spent his final days in a miserable prison cell and got his head cut off in disrespect. Not exactly a swell glorious way to exit either.

It takes a heck of a responsible person to look themselves in the mirror, examine their soul, and come to the conclusion that something is “off” and that this life is running out for us all. And then death...

What no chance for parole? No probation? Nope!

This life is your probation. Who can save themselves from hell? Nobody has as far as I know. God’s book of love in His Bible is His message of Salvation that He produced out of His love for humanity, that all those willing to come to Him, accept Him as Savior, believe in Him, and submit their lives to Him have won the Lottery of Lotteries when this life ends.

Don’t take my word for it though.

How much do you value your soul? If you read the book of John and Romans over a 3 hour period, then you only “lose” 3 hours if you don’t come to a different conclusion.

If you do, I promise those naysayers, that accepting Him will be the best decision you’ve ever made.

My heart goes out to those that somehow think they are ‘good’ enough on their own merits to earn God’s perfect gift . . . They do not realize that they are products of the curse - and their good works (like Cain’s offering of the works of his own hand as opposed to Abel bringing a sacrifice of blood to the altar) will somehow gain them bypassing all that Christ has done for them.

Sadly, they choose to go to hell . . . And they go there over Christ’s dead body - though he will be very much alive when He ushers them to the Lake of fire.

Tragic!

2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

Salvation is not based on 'merits' but on repenting of sins and faith in Jesus Christ the Savior.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that NOT of yourselves, it is the GIFT of GOD, not of WORKS, lest anyone should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9

Hey heights you are missing the most major theme of the gospel message. Its that ALL have sinned and good works of deeds will not be acceptable unto God as Salvstion but the sacrificial life and death of Jesus Christ. Salvation is a free gift— repent accept and receive Jesus the Savior for eternal life. The message is simple—just receive it as a free gift through faith. Dont miss out.

Heights, try something that I was asked to do back in 1976.

Take a sheet of paper and draw a line down the middle. On the left side write all the things that you have done that you believe are ‘good works’ acceptable of God.

On the right side write down all the things you have done that you have done that you have done wrong in this life.

If you interested after this task . . . Please read the Book of Romans.

Amen! Tragic beyond words.

Folks don’t realize that the price of their soul is worth more than everything in the entire world (including the world).

Mark 8:36

Satan’s deadliest tool (and perhaps his laziest too), is PRIDE. The proud who think they know best, i.e. their way is better, always end up in hell.

Proverbs 14:12
Luke 13:24
Matthew 7:13
