The University of California at Berkeley is bracing for massive protests in a public plaza on campus after learning that conservative commentator Ann Coulter plans to give a speech there Thursday afternoon.
Sproul Plaza, site of the iconic Free Speech Movement protests in the 1960s, is both symbolic and logistically challenging for the university. On an open campus, anyone can flock to the plaza.

In a sense - as long as Ann Coulter isn’t serious harmed - this will be a win-win. Berkeley will be shamed. Coulter will have made her point. If Antifa shows up in strength, they will make themselves look like the goons they are.
Hope Ann has her own security at the ready.

If Ann came to speak at a liberal university in my area, I would be there as part of a human wall to protect her.

May 5th will be “CINQO DE MILO” (like Cinqo de Mayo) and it should be really funny and violent.
So even if it’s a total let-down in a couple days, here, know that there will be another good opportunity on May 5th at Berkeley, same place.
