Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) introduced a bill calling for the use of $14 billion seized from cartel drug lord Joaquin El Chapo Guzman to be used to pay for the Presidents border wall between the U.S. and Mexico.
Fourteen billion dollars will go a long way toward building a wall that will keep Americans safe and hinder the illegal flow of drugs, weapons, and individuals across our southern border, Senator Cruz stated, according to a statement obtained by Breitbart Texas from the senators office. Ensuring the safety and security of Texans is one of my top priorities.

I've been in favor of that for a long time.........Asset forfeiture laws likely have billions of more dollars in drug related property confiscations just waiting to be put to use.
Too bad for him.
What!!! What!!! You mean to tell me this wasn’t TEDDY’S idea???/s ROFLMAO!!!
Although the border is longer than 2000 miles that is all that we really need to build a wall on. Most of the Texas border is really tough to cross and does not need a wall. The Southern Texas border is easy to cross, we need a wall there. The border from El-Paso to San Diego is desert. The areas of municipalities most definitely need a wall. Electronic measures in other areas will suffice. If they choose to cross in the summer, let them die in the desert.
Hell, if they make across the desert in Southern Arizona or New Mexico in July give them a green card. They are tough and might make good citizens.
If one considers the cost of illegal aliens in our nation in terms of social services, a wall would be very very very cash flow positive for the United States.
ps
I have lived in many nations. None offered me any social services with the exception of the United Kingdom. My son was born their and it cost me nothing. I was a legal resident and I assure you the taxes I paid as a North Sea Oil worker exceeded all services I received from the United Kingdom. I lived there under their laws and accepted their laws. I was not an illegal. I moved there will full knowledge of their laws and most obscene tax structure.
The point being is it their laws, their nation and when I moved there legally I accepted their law as my law.
ps
I did not get to vote. I was not a citizen. That is the way it should be.
Yep. ‘Fighting’ and ‘Winning’ are two entirely different things.
Funny how we always need more money for welfare, but keeping illegals away from welfare, no can’t do that, even though it would mean MORE money available for citizens on welfare....
Perfect.
Also seize war criminal and murderer George Soros money.
The other half from Soros.......
Perfect.
Best idea I’ve heard from Ted yet.
Where do you think they get many of their ideas?
Round about way of getting Mexico to pay for it!
Law agencies use asset forfeiture laws all the time prior to convictions, I read these articles here on FR all the time. But i guess since he is a Mexican and an actual drug dealer these laws don’t apply to him.
It makes sense. We need the wall because Mexican cartels know they can sell their poison in America so they use mules and human trafficking. May as well make them and their customers pay for way we’re going to keep them out.
All money confiscated should go to the wall, Border Patrol and ICE.
Let the Democrats keep taking confiscated drugs. (If you ever wondered why Maxine, Harry, Nanzi, Chuckles do and say so many addled things.)
Okay, I found the Link.
Apparently instead of mentioning the wall in the title he mentions it in the body of the bill.
Geez how terrible.
Wait....is there $14 billion sitting around somewhere????
We’ve been getting this money every year. Will someone please just ask where it has been going???
Ted Cruz for the next Supreme Court vacancy!!
If there isn't 14 billion sitting around, then we need a Supplemental Appropriations bill NOW!
“Law agencies use asset forfeiture laws all the time prior to convictions...”
So what happens if the guy gets his vehicles and guns taken away (say he was accused of hunting on a Wildlife Preserve) and he is found innocent? Does he get his stuff back out of storage, or does he get it back after the Fish and Wildlife folks already racked up 10,000 miles on his truck?
