Poll: Democrats More Out of Touch Than GOP, Trump
The Washington Free Beacon ^ | 4-23-2017 | Charles Fain Lehman

More Americans say the Democratic Party is "out of touch with the concerns of most Americans" than either the Republican Party or President Trump, according to a new ABC News/Washington Post poll.

According to the survey, 67 percent of those polled said the Democratic Party was "out of touch" with common American concerns, and only 28 percent said the party is "in touch." Six percent said they had no opinion.

These numbers are similar to but worse than those for the Republican Party: 62 percent of those polled said they thought Republicans were out of touch, while 32 percent said they were in touch and seven percent had no opinion.

President Trump beat out both his own party and the opposition: 58 percent of those polled consider him out of touch, 38 percent described him as in-touch, and four percent had no opinion.

The out-of-touch number represents a steep drop for Democrats. In 2014, when the same poll was last taken, 48 percent said Democrats were out of touch, a loss of 19 percentage points over three years.

The thing the poor little media babies cannot get their heads around is you don’t have to LIKE Trump to realize he is the best deal currently going in politics.

So they fixate on his popularity. Well tell me something the American people LIKE? We like Mikey, we hate everything. Which is a bi-product of the hyper hysterics, rabidly negative willfully distoted fake news they pump out daily. Just listening to the Fake Media, why should you LIKE anything in the USA currently?

Being that 68% of state level elections went Republican helps validate this poll.

The climate for the GOP to make huge gains and pass beneficial legislation is incredible. And they are sitting in Congress with their thumbs up their rear ends beholden to the donor class.

Democrat Party of America now carrying only 14 state legislatures reflects that truth.

The thought of a GOPer leaving the trough for 1 minute is an anathema to them. These RINOs are really PIGS.

1. According to the poll, the political class as whole is out of touch, with no major element of the political class polling as “in touch” near or above 50%.

2. The meaning of “out of touch” does not mean how most people will interpret it. The reasons someone thinks a party or person is “out of touch” varies by their own personal and political view and its not even near close to any majority that has the same reason in common. In fact, Leftists and Conservatives likely have reasons that are closest to opposite than in common. Therefore “out of touch” tells everyone very little.

The Democrats have become the party of Wall Street, Washington, DC Beltway Insiders, and the technology and entertainment industries. No wonder why Middle America can't relate to them anymore.

The donar class can give then all the money in the world but can’t get then the votes.

Go ask Jeb!.

One of the main lessons from the 2016 election The Political class doesn’t get it because thet don’t want to get it.

So it turns out the establishment republicans are really socialists too. They are just more subtle than the democrats who just charge ahead.

The establishment just tweaks Obamacare and lets the government controlled single payer program grow organically over a decade or so. Meanwhile they let the democrats take the glory/blame whichever you prefer.

Too bad the legislatures don’t elect the Senators.

It’s like the Republican party has seen itself as the older, wiser party, preventing the headstrong younger sibling democrats from pulling us too quickly to the left.

1) Thus the anti-establishment, anti-party populism. Our parties are corrupt and our elected officials do nothing but harm and are unresponsive to the citizenry.
2) The poll will not be touted because the GOP looks better than the Dems so the Dem media will not cover it.

The climate for the GOP to make huge gains and pass beneficial legislation is incredible. And they are sitting in Congress with their thumbs up their rear ends beholden to the donor class.

Because they don't have certain concerns that the rest of us do, like paying pricey monthly premiums for health insurance that is essentially useless until one spends thousands upon thousands of dollars first. Congress doesn't know the joy of that experience, so they dither while the rest of us wither (financially).
