Spicer is a Navy commander in the reserve, assigned to work with the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He wore his military uniform during his appearance at the Pentagon on Friday.

A quote within a quote.

The man said to the officer, "He came running out of the building yelling 'Fire!, Fire!' so I started running too".

How to use single quotation marks
In the United States, we use single quotation marks [ ‘ ‘ ] to enclose quoted material (or the titles of poems, stories, articles) within other quoted material:
“’Design’ is my favorite poem,” he said.
“Did she ask, ‘What’s going on?’”
Ralph Ellison recalls the Golden Age of Jazz this way: “It was itself a texture of fragments, repetitive, nervous, not fully formed; its melodic lines underground, secret and taunting; its riffs jeering-’Salt peanuts! Salt peanuts!’”

I have “unfriended” several so called friends in the past month (some I have known for a long time). Rather than keep in touch re our lives/family, they have elected to bring politics into the mix.

I believe they fall into this category:

Those are old pictures. Sean is an O-5. He reminds me of my Father-in-Law, a crusty old retired Mustang. He went from an E-1 Seaman Recruit to an O-5 Commander in 37 years. If Pop was standing on that podium every day, I would not know the difference. Real command officers do not suffer fools gladly.

Booyah! Spicer is a Light Colonel. Real proud of him. Looks great in uniform. And does a fine job as Press Secretary; a really tough, pretty much thankless job.

I second your second to Bigg Red. 👍 If Breitbart believes this Trump supporter is invested in Steve Bannon, over Trump, they err. I can not express exactly to what extent President Trump would have to mess up, imho, and he would still remain miles of universe better than anyone in recent occupation of the White House, at least since Reagan! Forget Obama and Hillary! I'm grateful to Bannon and I do believe he and Trump read our issues and anger, like a book, together. But, I'm afraid the DC & New York media were eating Trump to the bone, and making headway. Trump needed to stop the bleeding. (Particularly on the Hill among the Morning Joe crowd, on both sides of the aisle.) If it meant moving Bannon to the shadows, pretending a scandal in order to throw the impeachment seeking press a believable bone, then so be it. After all, the NY press partly loves the "liberal" looking Kirchners. To Trump, that's the best card to play for obvious reasons. WalLah! The press is appeased, and Bannon takes some heat, stays put and carries on. The Kirchners are seen but not heard and Bannon is heard, but not seen. Breitbart must roll with the plays. Trump is the master of the game, and his numbers are up, as this play was followed by the two big booms, in Syria and Afghanistan.

If it was me, I’d have to budget my entire paycheck to uniform replacement during whites season because it’d be a wear once and discard situation.

I managed to mess up cammies on a regular basis.

It’s Kushner.

I don’t know-—no confirmation-—but it wouldn’t surprise me that when the “get Bannon” stories started, Bannon didn’t respond with a few bombs of his own, hence DT’s ire and his “you fix it” comment. Again, I’m just guessing, but I think both sides are guilty.

One name noticeably absent-—which neither the drive bys or the “conservative/alt-right” media have mentioned is that of David Bossie, Citizens United chairman, who was brought on board the campaign at the same time as Bannon/Conway (I forget his exact title). Anyway, it would be useful to know his status.
