I can see how the first assertion got her into trouble, but I thought the second was actually something Christians agreed with: that Jesus’ disciples thought he was there to be King of Israel, and they didn’t understand him to be the son of God here to save the world until after he was gone.

Good point if the prof meant by “disciples” His disciples back then, the first ones (and before Pentecost) then yeah it’s conceivable the prof has a point. But if by “disciples” it was inferred that Christians today don’t believe He was/is God then yeah sorry that’s wrong. And sorry to anyone who doesn’t believe He was/is God now but that’s Orthodox Christianity.

While I never approve of death threats to anybody, it’s nice to see someone called out on smacking Christianity.

According to the article, this muzzie professor has associated herself with radical Islamists. Glad she resigned, although she should have been fired for creating this controversy. Too bad she’s still teaching full-time at Valencia College. It would be interesting to know if she’s had any problems there. In a UK article when this story broke, they showed a photo of an email she’d sent the ACLU claiming she was having problems with “another” student, so it would appear that this wasn’t the first time she’s been confronted over her class content.

And Christ never diddled a 11 years old girl.

And Christ never diddled a 11 years old girl.

Or younger, as the decrepit pervert Mohammed did.

I don’t agree with this (mitigating factor: it is a private college). People should be able to say what they want.

Likewise, people should be able to say what they want about Muhammad. Free speech is free speech. No blasphemy laws.

If this were a taxpayer funded college this would be a 1A issue. Since it is a private college, they should be able to hire/fire anyone they want for whatever reason.

She, the “professor” said what she wanted to, then resigned. What’s the problem?

If the students use federal funding/loans for tuition, it becomes a problem.

Good, but it will be offered another high-paying low-effort affirmative action job where it can express its hate for the USA.

When the student challenged the professor's claim that the Crucifixion was a hoax, she filed university conduct charges against him, claiming he intimidated her. Because he was a white, Christian male, the university expelled him without conducting a reasonable inquiry.

It was only after other students in the class came forward (coupled with a demand letter from the student's attorney, no doubt) that the university did the right thing and reinstated the student. The professor's "resignation" was probably a negotiated result.

Now ask her how Mohammed rode a magic donkey to a non-existent mosque before he died.

Yes, I see that she was the aggressor.
She was not really fired because of what she said but because of how she treated the student.

Nothing because the university is private. They probably negotiated her ‘resignation’.

A week after Easter Day, the apostle Thomas encountered the risen Christ. Upon seeing His wounded hands, feet and spear-pierced side, Thomas exclaimed, “My Lord and my God!” The did not realize His Deity until after He arose, but they certainly KNEW it from then on.
